They’re highly trained operators. Great for black ops. Sadly, they tend to be highly patriotic, so if they figure out the ethics on their black ops were shady, they need to go away.
But for a long time, there were Recon Marines, obtaining the dual cool status of 8654, (jump and dive qualified) some even went to ranger school and earned the tab, which was carried in their pocket. The elite few were considered a triple threat.
While the SEALs are bad ass, the Force Recon Marines had the same training, and remained silent proffesionals with no notoriety.
Understood. It was just a response to "the best of the best" comment.
There's a code amongst the teams about being a "silent proffesional". Many Seals still honor this creed, but others definitely seek attention and monetary gain.
I have mad respect for the old 8654 Marines. No one knew or heard of them until the movie "The Rock"
MARSOC now is a different animal.
Nicely done!

RIP Seal team 6
You don't like patriots?
I think they meant that as TPTB decide they need to get rid of them, as theyre a threat to the corruption, not that they think that personally.
I don't like traitors murdering patriots.
Goes back to WWII. Not sure pepe is related, if that is the implication here.
I'm sure the udt guys weren't thinking of themselves as a plague on Nazis, much less Egyptians or globohomos. But here we are.
Yeah, "frogman" goes WAY back to the original UDT days.
Navy Frogmen were the elite warriors of WW11. They eventually were turned into the Navy Seals by JFK as the best of the best!

I was pointing out the evolution of the Navy "frogmen" of WW11. Many others as you mention were truly great warriors,
