Tech refuses to come into work on Mondays and Fridays - tech companies have been on a hybrid schedule, but they all come in on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday only so that is slowly killing his business now on top of the shit show of Covid lockdowns. He is just trying to make it through the lease. 30 years - got through post Loma Prieta, Y2K, 2008, but this is killing him.

Chinese will buy a house all for cash - driving up the price of homes in the neighborhoods - in the suburbs of L.A. to send their high school aged children to schools in the area just so they can get enrolled into USC and UCLA that much easier. The wealthy hire “chaperones/nannys) to take care of their kids and drive them around town while the mom and dad stay in China.
The L.A. Archdiocese is famous for “recruiting” Chinese high school students - there are some Catholic High Schools in the Los Angeles area - areas that are primarily of Latino decent that are populated by 50% Chinese students. It comes down to money, money, money.
What happened when we owed them a lot of money. I think they partnered with the politicians so they can create laws to allow them to get the land and then paid off those demons.
