Was anyone really fooled? I feel like thatās the cover story, and a clever way for them to manufacture plausible deniability into their crimes.
Itās like āall the earmarks of Russian disinformationā. How do we prove the crime of the laptop suppression if they all say they saw those earmarks? How do you prove that someone said they saw earmarks, but only pretended to see?
From there, the corporate media does the rest of the work, stripping the claim of its nuance and amplifying the narrative they want. They also have plausible deniability by claiming journalistic incompetence.
Iām not even sure how many citizens were really fooled either. It seems to me that many people are playing along as a way to help their team. Covid was like that. You knew many average citizens were playing along because they would drop their masks to eat trail mix on an airplane. Anyone who really believed they were surrounded by the plague would forego the trail mix.
