On the plus side, they just set precedent for removal of security clearance. Now Republicans are more than justified in calling for the clearances of the Dirty 51 who wrote that BS letter claiming the Crackhead Biden's laptop was "Russian disinformation." They lied to Congress. They lied to the American people. It's a much better reason than "these FBI guys are sick of our criminal behavior so they reported it."
That is a deep state power move. Those agents who got cleared took a long time to obtain those clearances and likely went through the arduous (and invasive) process of giving Uncle Sam access to their personal, social, and financial information.
If they’ve hinged their entire livelihood on staying in a cleared job (whether as a federal employee or contractor), those people will now be extremely limited in the jobs they’ll be able to take in the future.
Also, there’s money in cleared work. The higher your clearance level, the more you can get paid (as a contractor). It’s not uncommon for a federal employee to make 2-3x more as a cleared contractor.
This move, to me, feels punitive from a financial and future career perspective.
The irony is they allowed access to obtain the clearance when it is pretty obvious these days they have access to it anyway.
Slightly OT, but related; I don't know if this has been discussed, but right before Tucker was fired, he was on a podcast with two younger guys - I forget their names, it is posted on GAW somewhere. Anyway, the part I am referring to is when he was talking about how he was trying to line up an interview with Putin. This would have been in the timeframe leading up to Ukraine. He saw it as 'this is my job, why wouldn't I try to get an interview?' What freaked him out was when he was contacted by I think the NSA about it and he wanted to know how they even knew about it because at that point, it was a very small circle of people working on the project - he hadn't even told his wife at that point. It made me wonder if that was his Awakening.
Keeps them from accessing the counter moves made by FBI leadership... Thus we will need other whistleblowers to tell us what laws are broken to cover-up anything the whistleblowers unearth.
seems like a misplay.. the deepstate taking cheap little punitive measures.. it will only make it appear as though they fear what these agents have to say.
Friend, who was the most recent person to have his clearance revoked on Tuesday, refused to take part in a SWAT raid at the home of a protester last summer, arguing it was an excessive use of force.
“I have an oath to uphold the Constitution,” Friend said on the day of the raid. “I have a moral objection and want to be considered a conscientious objector.”
Is this a good thing or a bad thing? By which I mean, will the loss of security clearance negatively impact their testimony in some way? Are there going to be classified things they can no longer talk about now?
Couple of different ex-FBI upper muckity mucks yesterday, said it renders them impotent. They can't work without clearance (NO pay), but they are still employed, so they CANNOT work elsewhere to feed their families.
Steve Friend went through this, and eventually had to resign to survive.
Remember all the hoopla about Brennan, Killery and others still having security clearances after being exposed as criminals/treasonous enemies(!?!), and no longer holding jobs with govt, a huge degree of public outcry???
More of that double standards crap -- at this point, the people who have security clearances are primarily DS or DS tools because those that do not play are pushed off. Another key area of focus for DRAINING THE SWAMP. These people have too much access to everything. When a commoner has a corporate job and leaves, security clearance and passwords are revoked. Not true for the United States corporation.
This may seem small but I’ll sticky. More whistle blowers will be treated as such. It most likely means these agents have some good dirt.

I don't care if the dirty 51 keep or lose their clearances as long as they hang.
I'm investing in rope.
Correct! Well stated!
but why would the FBI help our case? Does it also mean the FBI is working for us now, all of a sudden?
Not every officer that works there is corrupt Anon. Mostly their management and bureaucrats.

They were likely quickly read out of whatever projects they were into, and told the whole "keep this info safe or go to prison".
This is good. Small tiny step but still a win.
Probably keeps them from testifying
Keeps them from speaking to the Report's classified appendix, 29 pages
Keeps them from accessing the counter moves made by FBI leadership... Thus we will need other whistleblowers to tell us what laws are broken to cover-up anything the whistleblowers unearth.
was gonna say the same
BINGO!! ^^^
More proof of FBI corruption. How much more proof is needed before they are defunded, broken up, or disbanded?
It's not proof that is lacking - it is the will to take action!

Agent Friend and Agent Seraphin are testifying in front of Weaponization Committee today, Thursday May 18.
OMG, that's really their names. 😄
However,
Agent Friend, just might be (a friend)! 🤷♂️
What was that movie with Michael Douglas and Demi Moore? Very interesting "A. Friend" emailing clues!
If you're talking about 'Disclosure', I never saw it, but from the descriptions I've read, here's hoping our 'Friend' is a good friend! 🤞
You should watch it if you have the time. I pray everyday for our 'Friend' to be a good and noble friend 🙏 💛
I'll put it on the list! 😄 It does look like a good movie. Noticed with the sexual harassment, the inversion they like so much, F->M.
I agree, we need more good and noble people to step forward.
