Robertson was a fake Christian. He was a Templar / Mason. The symbol of a cross intertwined with the crown, is the joining of church & state, thus making MAN... GOD.
simply put, the crown & cross of the Templar / Masons, is the doing away with any idea of any of a Lord God being The Most High God. Rather, it professes that the enlightened MAN is GOD. [In God We Trust]??
Believe in what they believe in, or you're a heretic.
Robertson declared himself as an enemy of the Lord God, when he showed his "Lions Paw" on TIME magazine.
The Southern Baptist Church is totally run by Masonry, also.
Catholicism is entrenched with many factions, such as satanists, Jesuits, communists & Freemasons.
The "Age Of Deception". The "Philosophers Of Fire".
Would love to hear some more on this.
Growing up in the SB church, I know there were a LOT of low level Masons at the small, country churches. I can only imagine there were many higher ups at the bigger churches, where the real money was.
That's funny. They say the Mormon church RUNS on Masonry...
Badum-tss
(I'm an equal opportunity offender, so take no offense. Just having fun with you all. Got any atheist jokes? I have thick skin, I can take 'em!)
Only in the building of Temples and meeting houses. Mason's (the workers) ROCK... 😊
Not sure if you remember when the S.B. took up the question of Freemasonry and whether it is compatible with being a Southern Baptist. It was probably 15 or more years ago. I remember that a survey of S.B. ministers revealed that 30% of S.B. Ministers are also active Freemasons. That was the number that admitted to it.
I don't remember ever reading another word about them questioning the subject.
Albert Pike states clearly in his,"Morals and Dogma," that Freemasonry is "identical" with the "Ancient Mysteries." The Ancient Mystery Religion is Paganism - or worship of Lucifer, otherwise known as Satan.
I would not put it all on the Southern Baptists. From the current condition of what calls itself, "Christianity," It is doubtful that any organized Christianity is in any better condition than them.
EDIT: Amos.8
We were warned.

Your response inspired me to do some digging…
The Southern Baptist Convention did take up the topic of whether Freemasonry was compatible with Baptist faith in 1993. The Convention approved a report on Freemasonry that recognized its charitable endeavors and its many outstanding Christian and Southern Baptist members, but also concluded that many tenets and teachings of Freemasonry were not compatible with Christianity or Southern Baptist doctrine.
The report identified eight areas of incompatibility, such as the use of offensive and blasphemous terms relating to God, the use of bloody oaths, the inclusion of occult and pagan readings, the misuse of the term "light" to refer to moral reformation, the teaching of salvation by works, the advocacy of universalism, and the discrimination against non-whites in some lodges.
The report also recommended that churches and individuals should study the issue carefully and prayerfully before making any decisions regarding Freemasonry.
In 2000, the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention published a pamphlet titled "A Closer Look at Freemasonry" that expanded on the 1993 report and provided a comparison chart between Freemasonry, Christianity and the Bible on various issues

Thanks for the expanded information. I was going off memory from decades ago.
My most vivid memory was being dumbstruck that any "Christian" religion would have ANY reservations about banning what boils down to Satan worship in their members or particularly their ministers.
Fewer things shock me these days, as I see who is in control behind the scenes.

Go to a big time SBC and count how masonic stickers you see on cars.
If only you truly understood history
