This was the drag strip outside Denver last night. The signs are everywhere. The Storm Has Arrived.

Bandimere Speedway These are treasures and a shit ton of fun. Go see a drag race before they make that illegal too! Nothing and I mean NOTHING to do with tranny clowns.
"In 1958, John Bandimere Sr. purchased a parcel of land on the west side of Denver nestled up against the Hogback leading up to the Rocky Mountains. He and his family began the process of constructing a small but efficient drag strip that was to be used to augment their auto parts business."
I thought I'd heard of that, I grew up in Littleton in the 80s.
:)
It's Flippin gorgeous. The idea of moving there is overly tempting, minus the California-injected community. But it's one state away. So driving isn't the end of the world.
Littleton guy here, too ('80-87, eventually southwest to Larkspur 90's-'05)
Not a pride flag to be seen. EVER. These are my people.
Yes exactly. Gearhead community is pretty based and Christ-loving
Unfortunately one of the tracks on the chopping block.
Username checks out. 👍
Fellow gearhead here. 🚗
YASSSS. Serious question. Hiw do you feel about Tony Stewart starting a top fuel team? I think it's great. I see him in top fuel before too long. He's skreafy grabbed at least one, if not a few Wallies in top alcohol.
I'm a big Stewart fan going back to when him and Labonte were teammates. Got to meet Tony at a book signing 20 years ago. I'd love to see him compete anywhere. He's a character in front of the camera so that's also fun.
We're gonna be in Denver next month. My husband would love to see this!
