I’m so glad you had him and that incredible love that you obvious had ! I’m so sorry that he’s not here with you Fren .. you’ll be with him again but that only helps the pain you’re feeling today! The Bible says they are cheering us on , so look up and tell him how much you love him, somehow I believe he’ll hear you ;)
This one hit me in the feels. Lost my best friend last year. This is the first Father’s Day without him. Y’all would’ve loved him. Everyone did.
I had a Dad like that that too. Lost him back in '07. Still rough going without him.
🥺You got me man. One day, we were at my parents house, my dad asked if we could stay for dinner. 99% of the time the answer would have been " sorry, can't. gotta get up early" for some reason we stayed, he actually had to go to the grocery store to get more brats and buns. We had a great time that night. God made us stay for dinner. He had a heart attack that night and passed away two weeks later in Hospice. I didn't know it would be my last goodbye.
Now he is never more than a whisper away. Speak to him...he will be there. Much love fren..
Great post! I know your feelings. I miss my Dad so much. WWII vet (Normandy/Paris Liberation/Battle of the Bulge). I do not know how he survived. I never had more pride than knowing my father. Everything important he taught me. I would give anything to fish, hunt, golf, pitch a baseball, play guitars, or share a laugh or two with him once more. He was my hero. I also cannot wait to see him again.

I lost my dad when I was 22. Massive stroke. I never got over his loss. I am now 75 yrs old and would give the rest of my life to just have one more hug and be able to just say good bye.

So true! We were blessed to have wonderful Fathers! I pray for those who didn't. I talk to my Dad in Heaven everyday.
I lost my Dad and this is so true, miss him so much. He taught me so many things and so much of the person i am today is because of him.
The loss can be hard some days, i will see something in life or even TV and movies where a father and son are doing something together and it always makes me sad that he is not here to chat with or go do something with.

Thank you for that. Dad has weighed heavily upon my mind. Still fighting w the nursing home over his beloved home........I'm tired. I'm broke..hell I cant even make rent this month. But what I wouldnt give to go fishing w dad , or take those dawn and dusk walks on the beach. I dont think he knew how much I cherished those times. or how much he was loved n how proud I was of all he accomplished. How much the ladies who worked for him loved and appreciated him . Dads been gone since 2011. Mom got Shanghaid by a home. Very corrupt area. Much Biden influence here. I've been fighting theim since 2018. She died in that hell hole during pandemic when I was sick n told to isolate..early into the plandemic. April 2020. They're swine. Real estate grabbing. An over 200k house. Saying it's worth 50k n want to sell it to the guy who inspected 3 times....I just know I wont win. But I'll drag it out in hopes the economy drops dead n housing market crashes. I shouldnt have moved out. But I thank you for your kindness and your offer fren. God bless. Here n my new neighbors I am so thankful for. Yes me too my fren u/Oldpatriot! Mine passed almost 2 years ago and I talk to him everyday like he is still sitting with me. Miss him everyday and regret not spending more time with him. I know he is dancing in heaven right now but Im ready to see his sweet face again one day too. Cherish your people, heal grudges, always pray for your loved ones. We do not have a given amount of years. 😘
