I feel like I’m on the smiling end of the “first time?” Meme lol. AQI was over 400 a couple weeks ago here because of the smoke issues. It’s akin to spending too much time at a camp fire so yea you’ll feel it. It’ll be over soon enough
I have ** NEVER ** seen (smelt) this in the midwest, been here for over 40 years.
I have smelled many fires (wood, BBQ, etc) and was a former electrician, so know what a burning transformer smells like... far closer to the latter here than the former.
I live in southeast Michigan. Its hazy here, no smell at all. No wind either. We had an all day moderate to heavy rain Friday, a couple showers and thundershowers on Saturday and Sunday, light rain on Monday and then off and on light and moderate rain yesterday. Its also been humid. Had fog overnight. Temps were highs in the upper 60s on Friday and Tuesday, about 70 on Monday and near 80 Saturday and Sunday. Lows in the upper 50s. Perfect conditions for hazy sunshine. And thats what we have.
Really hard to definitively call it smoke when there is no smell at all and the conditions are perfect for haze. All we really have to go on is the word of known liars.
So why are some people smelling something and others arent? My sinuses are perfectly clear and I have been outside all day. I have not noticed a smell at all. The haze is thick and it is low. Even the view of the building across the street from the jobsite is affected by the haze. But I smell nothing.
It has been hazy outside of Chicago for two days now but my allergies have been unaffected. The air doesn't even smell weird, just can't see more than a mile.
Idk man, i stepped outside and immediatly my body told me i was smelling danger. Idk how else to describe it other than my gut told me to get away. The air absolutly smells weird but if you lived closer to the city im sure the overpowering smell of homelessness and feces blocks out any change in air quality.
I said outside of Chicago, not in it, the suburbs don't smell like piss. Air smells fine in the suburbs, just weirdly hazy. My allergies were worse last week when the skies were clear.
Id say the opposite. It seems only half the people ive talked to can smell whatevers in the air. I dont know what the reason for that is but it seems very strange to me. It says its smoke and debri from canadian wildfires but it doesnt smell like any smoke ive been near.
Edit: i remembered the air quality alert also said the risk of danger is "unknown". Now tell me how many forest fires have we had in the last year alone? How is it possible that the effects of that debri are unknown when its been going on for so long?

I smell nothing in southeast Michigan though the haze is heavy and low and Ive been working outside most of the day. Perhaps the power of suggestion in this fear op is taking its toll on some.

That may be the case for some but personally i woke up knowing nothing and the second i stepped outside to let my dogs out i smelled it and immediately i felt something was wrong. I then went inside and started researching what was going on. I cant find anything about where this big cloud came from, the canadian wildfire website is giving errors and saying theres zero active fires. https://ciffc.net/
Edit: that website is now loading and showing info. Very coincidental that it was showing nothing but errors all day until minutes after i posted that comment.
We put down 200 yards of concrete for a parking lot. I screed maybe 30 yards along the edges. I pulled concrete with the rake. Ran the bull float, ran edges, ran the power trowel, stripped, scraped and loaded steel forms. No noticeable effects on my breathing at all. No complaints from the crew.
Well i havnt. Literally zero warning i just woke up and it was there. Ive been using my phone a lot so if there were any alerts sent out i would have seen it. Its weird that they would ignore alerting some areas
I’m here near Toledo. It’s Smokey inside the plant I’m working in!
Yikes! It triggered a false fire alarm here!
The Rocky Mountains prevented the psyop from the West Cost fires from entering other parts of the US so they they took the operation to Canada.
Nobody even heard about Canadian fires until this year. How convenient!
It’s arson. Way too early in the summer to have natural fires. Everything is still wet from the winter snows.
A few weeks ago I saw a video where they showed the ground was still frozen (ice) under the fires.
It’s all bullshit.
Here is a remedy I hadn't thought of. https://deeprootsathome.com/nebulize-glutathione-for-smoke-cough-copd-asthma-bronchitis/
I am in Ohio and it is very hazy here. I do not smell anything though.
It smells like burning tires right now. Entire way home (40 min at 75 mph) it smelled like burning tires and sometimes plastic.

Yeah we had a lot of rain over the weekend so I thought it was fog except it didn't clear up when it hit 90 yesterday.
I'm in SE Michigan and even with my partial loss of smell from having covid, it still smells like a garbage fire.

no clue. my wife says it smells like skunk. two of my coworkers say it smells like fireworks. none of us are vaxxed.
What does purple mean? I live in Pittsburgh.
AQI over 200

Weird how i could smell it immediatly then when i walked outside. Thats my point some seem to be able to smell it and some cant.
Sue Canada.
Are the white hats gassing the lizard people?

Nobody around me has complained of any odors. I still smell everything else just fine.

I hit the gym last night as well, if something was affecting my breathing I'd have noticed.

I've been spammed with air quality alerts daily for a month now, it's the latest fear porn.

Did you talk to any lizard people? Lol.
I get that you dont really care but theres a lot of patriots in illinois, a gas attack here would be devastating
