They apparently only caught him because he filmed it. So these girls were either too ashamed to speak out or no one believed them. So heartbreaking and sickening.
They probably had programming while they were being exploited. The perp said he would do harm to their families if they ever spoke about it. Fear is a big motivator in a child, especially if the kid has to see the perp every day and that is reinforced daily, too. He probably told the kids it was their fault he acted this way. It's just the way perps treat kids in order to keep the "fun" going. He needs a quick way out of his existence.
Took a year to identify even one victim and then persue an indictment? I guess the popo wanted to get their jollies off by watching 1600 vids of the crimes. Get him on one count and then you can go after the other 1599 while he is rotting away in a cell. Hope bubby the sex meister is his new bunkie. Maybe the unnamed perp will get what he has coming to him, year and years and years of the same thing he gave to his victims. But I think his fate will be very quick once he gains entrance into the penal system.
This is the second such story I have heard come out of Australia in the last 4 yrs. The other on was similar, a child care worker, who did the same things, and also operated a dark web forum for trading films, pictures etc. The police couldn't believe the level of evil in these people.
