Price of an apple $0.10. Carbon tax $3.41. Don't you want to save the planet?? What about the polar bears??
There's too much ice and too many polar bears. Burn all the apple trees!
Probably cheeper to drive to Michigan and buy them.
Yeah it is lol 3.79/lb in Michigan.
Climate change you know. Do your part and shut up.
Yep. Eat your bugs peasant
I am in the states, and I refused to buy apples at almost $4 a pound. I can't imagine seeing them as $3.51 EACH. That's ridiculous and they will have a ton of rotting apples at the store at that price.
Erm, apples are a seasonal crop. It is August. there are no apples to be harvested on the trees yet. Those supermarket apples have been either refrigerated for ever (and they will be mealy and tasteless), OR they are imported from the Southern Hemisphere, AND refrigerated.
So, get over it, and buy local apples from an apple producer near you, when they come in season. THEN the apple will be 10c.
Thats a load of crap too because here in Canada we have apples all year. They are grown at Holland Farms which is the biggest greenhouses in North America, down near Toronto. But this meme is BS they do not charge per apple anywhere.
Lol... no it will still be close to this in the fall I guarantee it.
Don’t buy them. Prices will fall. The producers are simply trying to jump on the covid bullshit band wagon. The producers are simply trying to change the paradigm. Apples aren’t worth 4 bucks each. Its a giant gouge. Plant your own tree. Grow your own food. Trade with others. Create ways around the monopolies of communism. Wokeism is MARXISM.
Washington is right next door.
What about red delicious? Why pick the new hippie hybrid apple?
Where is Johnny Appleseed when you need him?
I gave $3.33 for 3 peaches yesterday at Walmart. A dollar eleven a piece is a bit much too I'd say.
BS, I just checked Walmart.ca and Walmart.com and the apples are actually less expensive in Canada. $3.12 a pound versus $6.55 a kilogram in Canada and the Loony is only worth about 0.75 USD so the Canadian price is actually substantially cheaper.
Don’t forget bill gates cut for apeel, the poison coating
How many of ze bugs can you get for $4?
They grow lot of pot indoors. Time to switch up!
Thats a load of crap. I live in Canada and it is no such price. I live way up north on an island where everything should be more expensive because it has to be transported in.
A bag of apples went up to $6 which is way more than it was last year but thats a bag of apples they dont charge anywhere per apple.
Want me to go buy one and show you the receipt?
Or, I could just link you the same apples off Walmart.com versus Walmart.ca,
Walmart.ca $6.55 a kilogram. Walmart.com $3.12 a pound.
2.20 pounds in a kilogram so we take the US price of $3.12 a pound times 2.20 = $6.86 USD per kilo, so these apples are actually more expensive in the US. Also, the Canadian dollar is worth about 0.75 USD, so it's actually even worse.
