I get that when we are busy, having fun, and getting older time flies, but damn it seems 6 months is our new " year ". Anyone else feel like their timeline is on 1.5x speed ?
While I appreciate this to some degree being under communist rule and to get to " Best is yet to come ( Freedom ) ", it still seems crazy how time has been literally cut in half nowadays.
Which one of u been playin w/ the buttons ?
My father used to say " Life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer to the end you get, the faster it goes" .
Definitely agree. It feels like the last 5 years were what a few months used to be.
I hope it’s just part of becoming a proper adult and doesn’t get “faster” than this in my 30s…
Can confirm.
Amen!
No kidding. Just seeing years go by instead of months. Hate it.
Matthew 24:22
And unless those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved; but for the elect’s sake, those days shall be shortened.
Art Bell coined it as The Quickening.
Time will tell. 🙄🙂
If a 3 year old is waiting for pizza rolls in the microwave and when when a parent tells them only 60 seconds they reply, "But that will take FOREVER"
And lets just toss out the adult is 30, the reality is that as a % complete of life, that 60 seconds seems like 10 minutes to the child.
Agreed. Talking about "recent" events and then realizing they were 2-3 years ago is dizzying. I wish I were younger and better-poised to weather this and to potentially participate actively in what's to come. Sigh.
Just because we’re behind keyboards doesn’t mean we’re not participating. The older generation’s biggest asset is remembering things from days gone by. We sure as hell can’t trust the media to tell us.
we are approaching timelessness
Hard times lead to good times maybe not for us but for our kids. I’m good with it.
Unbelievably accelerated. Its like i wake up and a month has gone by. I leave work at 5 pm. Its 7pm by the time i get home,im only 10 minutes away from work. Before i know it,its 10pm. I dont have time to do anything but go to work.
Change yer damn routines! Wake up earlier, stsy up later, learn to run on less sleep...that early morning brain wave ride is powerful...
Somedays it feels like just yesterday I was leaving High-school. Now it’s 5 almost 6 years later. Times flown.
And there are days I can’t help but reminisce about what seemed like such a long time when I experienced it. Is such a short one looking back on it.
"....it feels like only yesterday.."
It did 3 years ago for about 2 months, but then it slowed and now it seems to be accelerating.
I think we lost an hour a couple weeks ago. All my digital devices say a time but my old 70s manual wall clock is back an hour. I fixed it a couple months ago and was tracking it daily for time loss but confirmed it held good time. Then one day I noticed it off by exactly an hour.
I also have a security camera that is now off by an hour.
Did the world add an hour at some point recently? I dont think we went through a daylight savings clock change in the recent past?
