I think they would have no problem arresting him in a local county jail and trying to separate him from his Secret Service protection in an assassination attempt. There is no evil those people won't commit.
This could be the tipping point that forces the Military to finally publicly get involved. People are super pissed right now as it is. There only needs to be a catalyst to get the pot to boil over.
