She is not correct. Not at all. And the claim doesn't start with her.
But let's do the exercise.
Why use a 737? FedEx has a cargo plane that carries 112 tons. Why not go big, if you already need to hundreds of flights.
OK, you have all this gold. At the Vatican. Which doesn't have an airport.
How do you transport 650 planeloads of gold from the Vatican to the nearest airport? You need a lot of trucks.
The US has an airbase in in Italy, but it's not close. The Rome airport is a half hour away.
And You need trucks for the gold and also heavily armed security teams to protect the gold.
3 million people live in Rome. The Vatican is one of the biggest tourist destinations in the world. 4 million visitors a year. Nobody noticed?
How long does it take to load up 29,900,000 lbs of gold into trucks? My calculation would 4x time more or 120 million pounds How many trucks? How many people would be involved.
You would need literally an army. How long would this operation take? How do you get your army of people into the VATICAN unnoticed? This story first came out in 2020 btw.
How do you move 3 times the amount of gold in Fort Knox out of the Tiny Vatican in the middle of major city with nobody noticing. With an Italian press that LOVES to writes about the Vatican.

The second version of the story has a tunnel from the Vatican to the Jerusalem Temple But that one also claimed Trump's goverment was an "Anti-Christ government."
Also it was not 650 planeloads of gold, but
the gold pile was 150 miles long.
I don't put to much stock in this one.
Could just as easily be that this article was put out purely to make the whole story sound insane.

No one would notice or care if they saw a truck loaded up. And it could have happened over several months.
They also could have used local supply trucks, they just pull into the warehouse empty and leave fully loaded......

The original story of this as told by Charlie Ward was it was a single military operation. Oh and they also arrested the Pope. Three years ago.

I didn't hear the original story by Charlie.
They may have arrested the pope, i don't keep tabs on his 24/7. Trump was arrested last week, and if we hadn't seen his mugshot and the paperwork online we wouldn't even know about it for sure.
Trump being arrested was pretty big news if I remember. Every time.
Trump also told us he was indicted. And that he was going to be indicted. And that the FBI just served a search warrant on his house. A lot of the search warrants were done quietly, but Trump went public with the Mar a Lago search warrant before the FBI said anything.

The story is Fugazy, it's a fake.
When it says: the Vatican, it is very tempting to visualize a little piece of territory in Rome.
The Vatican as an institution is way bigger. Akin to a state. It can have embassies. The territory itself, meaning the soil remains to that country in which the embassey is founded, but the location can be awarded a separate status.
This is the way with the Vatican. It can have embassies, and other sovereign locations not subject to local laws.
It therefore does not imply that the physical location where the gold is stashed is exactly in Vatican City.
Then the 650 planes needed. It does.not mean that the gold had to be transported ststes-side.
A transfer into another sovereign title suffices. The amount of gold indeed can sum up to a weight where, of you would physically transport it, 650 plane loads would be needed.
So, on further analysis of what Jan Halper was saying, means she is technically correct but it does not mean that a physical movement of gold has taken place.
It may mean that the gold was stashed in NY at the fed vault with a Vatican label, or some other label.
The story which originated with Charlie Ward is definitely taking gold from Vatican City and moving it to the United States

Contract with DHL to transport everything with their guards. No one would care if DHL trucks were coming and going.
So DHL moved some crazy number of tons of gold in 2020 after an international military force arrested the Pope. And they just kept quiet about it? No one took one selfie?
