Yup, while pay and benefits may be at the forefront, this strike is ALL about the push for EV's by Biden and GM. I know several UAW workers and the number of Trump supporters in the union is quite surprising.
Absolutely. The rank and file can see what will happen if EV's are the mandate. No more engine or transmission plants, more and more imported parts and batteries (GM is half owned by the Chinese) which all translates into the loss of American jobs. Give the strikers credit, they see the writing on the wall and could be our very best hope to shut down Biden and EV mandates altogether.

Most real workers are Trump supporters.
It's the heads of the unions and their underlings that are in cahoots with the uniparty, tech, and media

Is it because EVs have way fewer parts to manufacture and so a lot of people would be out of a job?
Bingo. Aside from manufacturing, how many oil & gas jobs will be lost?
Not only fewer parts but a bunch of the parts will be imported from Chy-na. You can take that to the bank.
