He recounted how china does it. Catch em in the act. Fast trial. When found guilty, execution. And the families have to pay for the bullet.
People started to cheer but almost immediately fell pretty silent with only a few claps.
Then he also added that Singapore also has the death penalty for drug dealers.
I... am torn on this issue. Yes, I believe that drugs destroy lives and families.
But... it is so harsh. But... the drug reality is even harsher...
I dunno. My gut still says he is right, although it makes me sad, because the death penalty... Yeah. It's pretty permanent. (Well, the lives destroyed through drugs are permanent too, I know).
Fuck that, kill them all. Drugs/drug addiction is why the homeless population has exploded. And businesses have to close doors because of policies that encourage homeless people in addition to low life criminals to loot and steal with no penalty.
There will always be an underground drug trade. If you eradicate the big boys there’s always another in the shadows waiting to take their place. Imagine a place like Vegas on Super Bowl weekend without any drugs... there will always be a market and a demand. Prices will most likely skyrocket.
I haven’t heard todays speech yet (I’ll watch it later this evening) but I bet his 100th rehash of “quick trial - swift execution” isn’t exactly what the crowd wanted to hear... Trump should have talked for an hour straight about the Israel/Iran/Hamas situation. Not rehashing prior Rally talking points for the millionth time.
They never get the dealers, just the dime bag junkies who are selling to keep themselves in what they use. They never get the dealers, who are protected. They know who they are, but they dont get touched. They bust someone, say they got a "ring", and there are ten more to replace them. Lots of money in the drug business, lots of cops too, military looking the other way. Remember the heroin coming home in body bags from Viet Nam? They never get the big guys.

I'm rambling, sorry.
He is absolutely right. Society has become apologetic for drugs. TV, movies, music all show recreational drug use as a normal even good thing.
Both recreational drugs AND big pharma meds have got to go.
