What about the possibility that the US had technology that could interfere and redirect the missiles? Is that possible? I.e even though the US knew the missiles were incoming, they also knew they could divert them....

Sorry bros. The missiles only “missed” by not killing anyone. Nearly 20 ballistic missiles from Iran struck Al Asad Air Base, all right along the flight line. They were all aimed with the intent to take out as many aircraft as possible. Sucks for Iran that we knew they were coming and the only thing that wasn’t flown out was a broke-dick medical helicopter that didn’t fly anyway. The missiles also hit some sleeping quarters, maintenance tent hangars, and the weather bros trailer. No lives lost, flight line still intact and operational. We were ready for them.
