When I worked in Surgery and we did Total Knee Replacements some of our Orthopedic doctors would order PT to apply these as soon as arriving to the Recover Room. So, knee replacements are the only cases that I’m familiar w/devise, but it can be used for other.
I had physical therapy for a broken tibia, but it was a machine that had a lot of settings and you sat in it. Was 30 years ago, so I guess things have improved.
