They also don't want to work 8hrs either, they want to come in at 11 and leave by 3. No, seriously, they actually told hiring managers this. These retards are a recipe for a company's demise.
I don't see why not. The real risk is we continue on the path we're on now with the west continuing to import millions of Indians every year.
Most jobs the best thing most workers provide is their personality. I would take someone who could use software or scripting to do their job in 2 hours, and be on call, over someone who struggles to do it manually in 8.
Worked at several tech companies, they're mostly personality hires. Working at a tech company =/= smart. Google was particularly appalling and inferiorating because no one actually listened. I hadn't experienced anything quite like it anywhere else. It was a seriously bad problem. In one of my 1:1s with my manager I explained the situation with "Company X" only for her to then ask what was going on with Company X (which I had literally just finished explaining).
Look at all the tech companies who laid off most of their "personality hires..."
Only a handful of people actually did the legwork at Twitter, and we saw how useful most of their employees were /s.
Edit to add: I work for a subsidiary of Raytheon, and all the "personality hires" that have been in the company have caused millions of dollars of damage due to negligent machining, gauging and/or recklessness of handling airplane parts. Those personality hires fire themselves lol

I think that all the companies who promote ESG should, at a minimum, have a workforce quota of 50% personality hires.

Are we talkin' here not only about "personality" hires, but also ... diversity hires?
(Including, but not limited to, H1B types?)
I agree, maybe 60-70%
Was gonna make a serious comment, but article so ridiculous I’m gonna let it stand on its own.
Lol...same here...
There's a certain quote that comes to mind:
I thought it might be Babylon Bee for a second. Oh my.
Ok, I'd love my plumber to have a better personality. No go learn how to plumb.
Gen Z personalities: self-centered, self-absorbed, over-dramatic, lazy, insecure....
They can't all work in HR.
Junior high for life!
maybe if one is bringing in an intern :)
I need someone to empty my honeywagon tank... and I need you to be up beat about it while doing it...
THANKS GEN Zer!!!
LOL

I believe it. Work with a bunch of kids 19-25 and 9/10 of them are worthless fucks. Makes my job more miserable.
I think some companies are hiring like this
