Can they develop a TV remote control that can't be operated by a dog's butt?
Until they can, AI has limited practical uses.
🤣
I'll be willing to bet we aren't that far away from a system that can read your mind and change the channel to what you might not even consciously realize is what you want to watch.
Or perhaps just change the channel to whatever channel the firm that developed the remote control was paid to change it to.
Or perhaps change the channel to what the AI felt would be best for you.
All three are pretty terrifying.
they do this kind of stuff already,
Now that Q is trending, when will we get unsuspended from Twitter/X ?

Here is a summary of the article:
"Exclusive: Sam Altman's ouster at OpenAI was precipitated by letter to board about AI breakthrough -sources:"
The article reports that Sam Altman, the former CEO of OpenAI, was fired by the board of directors after he sent them a letter claiming that he had achieved a breakthrough in AGI.
The board did not believe Altman’s claim and accused him of being dishonest and reckless. They also feared that he was planning to launch a new company based on his alleged discovery, which would violate his contract with OpenAI.
The article cites sources familiar with the situation, who said that Altman’s letter was vague and did not provide any evidence or details of his breakthrough.
They also said that Altman had been secretive and isolated from the rest of the company, and that he had clashed with other executives and researchers over the direction and ethics of OpenAI’s projects.
The article mentions that Altman had been criticized for pushing for the commercialization and rapid deployment of ChatGPT, which some experts warned could pose risks to society and human values.
The article also notes that Altman’s firing has caused turmoil and confusion within OpenAI, which is one of the most influential and ambitious AI companies in the world.
It says that several senior employees have resigned or are considering leaving, and that Microsoft, a major investor and partner of OpenAI, is unhappy with the board’s decision and the lack of transparency.
The article concludes by saying that the future of OpenAI and its mission to create AGI that benefits humanity is uncertain, and that the board is looking for a new CEO to lead the company.
Sam Altman is back at the company and most of the board barring a couple members resigned. After 700 of their 770 employees threatened to resign en-mass.
And reread the article. Sam never sent the Board the letter. Unnamed employees did.
