Yes, interesting...
Thorium is a radioactive chemical element that could in theory be used to generate large quantities of low-carbon electricity in future decades. Compared to the uranium that powers today's nuclear plants, thorium is more abundant and widely distributed in the Earth's crust. It also offers various safety benefits over uranium: it's not prone to runaway chain reactions that can lead to nuclear disasters; its waste products remains dangerous for a much shorter period; and its byproducts aren't useful for making nuclear weapons. In addition, thorium reactors could theoretically be used to burn up the dangerous plutonium stored in existing nuclear waste stockpiles.
So start investing in thorium, then?
Where is this thorium everyone is talking about.

Will my fedbux be worthless?
Probably will be a period to exchange them over. Likely not at a 1:1 ratio though. Or at least it would make sense for there to be.
Suddenly declaring all currency in circulation worthless and not having any manner to actually get the legal currency. Would be a surefire way to torpedo the economy.
... and would most likely incite that civil war that Tim the Toolbag Pool has been calling for, for 100 years now...
When I was in the Navy 63-66, in Japan, the MPC (Military Payment Certificate) would occasionally be changed, causing panic in the bars and brothels, the military gave a short window to exchange value for value. I have heard it will be 1:1 for the benefit of we the people; this could mean a LOT if the new currency is backed by PM..
Well. If it’s a 1:1. That would raise interesting questions on how it would affect the international market. Because someone is presumably going to loose out. And where they found enough valuable material to back it.
If the graphic is any indication. Presumably the scales on the bottom are indicating that the theoretical Currency is going to be backed by a mixture of Gold, Silver, Copper, Natural Gas, Oil, Presumably stock as that’s a pic of Wallstreet, food/farm land, real estate, maybe mining output as that’s a Quarry/Mining dump truck, and finally Thorium.
Or some mixture of the above.
Gold will set a standard that will be beneficial to all because it will have equal value all around the world-no more currency exchange issues(the airport exchange shops are the worst) . 1:1 would be a gift from a restyored Republic.
so the new currency is gonna be backed in part by... thorium? (look carefully at the bottom right of the image). I presume the implication here is that thorium based nuclear reactors are gonna get the green light.
The trillion dollar question is WHEN?
A Return to Original Money on a 1:1 basis is a fair idea, but the Items we need would necessarily have to then be Lowered in Price....
It's a real Smartness Test....
Wiping the "debt" clean off the page would allow for a value reset, the only question is what decade to restore the pricing.
Averages....
Last Ten years of the Gold and Silver Standard, and the Last Ten Years of the Silver Standard, and the Last Ten years....
Averaged for something that should look much more Normal....
Then let the Public Adjust the Prices by what they'll buy, and what they won't....
After all, We the People!!
Thanks!
