Of course; the politicians (yes...this does include Trump for this purpose) should have been railing against the Summer of Love as an insurrection when it was happening.
That no one did means we aren't going to really be able to go back retroactively and call it such.

The 2024 election is in November.
Trump cannot take office until January 2025.
Summer of 2024 he will not be able to do that.
It'd be an extremely powerful and quite ridiculous precedent. It would basically allow each Secretary of State to remove candidates whose speech they disapprove of.
It could be weaponized to such a degree that consensus could rapidly emerge that a constitutional amendment was needed to address it.
Or any office holder who supports the actual insurrection they are going to incite if he manages to regain office...

What happens if US Supreme court over turns the Colorado ruling (which apparently is flaky at best)? Do you think this still sets a precedent MAGA can use in the future?

Don't follow them as I follow no one(also, why leave that trail and make things easier for anyone...) but they have retweeted my comments a few times now..
