Duluth and the Twin Cities received millions in federal grants to purchase electric buses for their public transit fleet but the EVs failed in the subzero temps in the harsh Minnesota winters.
No doi.... what did they think would happen in consistent -30 temps with a battery operated vehicle? Also, sounds counter-efficient if the bus only gets 75 miles of use at a time. I'm guessing 99% of those leading our nation have the common sense of a box of hair. Just plain dumb.
Politicians got their kickbacks, that's what they wanted in the end.
Agree. I firmly believe that there are extremely manipulating idiots among us.
Guess who made the buses that didn't work?
"The EV company received taxpayer money from Joe Biden’s so-called ‘infrastructure plan’ in 2021. Even worse, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm was heavily invested in Proterra and made millions from stock options." (Before Proterra filed for bankruptcy.)
Regular gas cars up there need engine block heaters plugged in in parking spots...no beaters would survive
And Hertz is offering free days of car rentals to anyone who rents an EV. I figure it's free days because you lose so much time driving by charging the thing. So who wins?
No one but the climate culties.
when this is all over we are going to be so broke we'll be walking or riding mules or Trump wins and we have 75 mile per gallon cars.....
Pretty black and white. The end times are the most stark with contrast.
Is that meant need to charge it indoor?
I think so. Lol...how dumb is that?
Oops.
