Facts. Back in the early 2k's I delivered for Papa John's. I kept a little black book of addresses of people who were assholes, didn't tip, or complained over nothing trying to get a free pizza. These MFers were ALWAYS the very last to get thier order if you were on the list. I'd never "add ingredients" or shake it though, it'd just be cold.
Conversely, those who tipped well and were friendly were always the first on the list and got their pies still steaming out of the box. Sometimes they'd get a free pie from "someone that canceled their order", but would also be steaming hot.
Yeah, I did the same... A few months back I ordered pizza from a Marcos Pizza a few blocks from where I live. I waited and waited more than an hour and no pizza. I called them up and canceled the order telling the manager I could have walked there, ordered, waited, and walked home faster. I always tip. Apparently since I was close the delivery driver saved me for last. Now I won't order because retaliation might occur. Silly drivers.
I worked for Dominoes twice, Pizza Hut, and Papa Johns, when you switch you can answer the phone wrong lol.
Marco's would always screw up my order. If I order pizza and wings, they'd forget the wings. When I called the manager she said - no big deal we'll give you free wings with your next order. Told her there will not be a next order.
... and I know exactly where it's been and how it was handled.
Kek. If you don't think it is being messed with (whether by accident or on purpose) at the restaurant you're nuts. I try my best to eat at home. I mean - remember the "youts" doing stuff at WalMart like licking inside ice cream containers and putting them back on the shelf? You also have to worry about racist kids doing something to your food (white or black). I know I'm really thankful I'm not a cop as well - I don't think I could ever go through a drive-thru in a cop car or wearing a uniform.
As for accidental - think about the restaurants like Pizza Hut that have had roach problems over and over, or Popeyes with their rat problems, not to mention McDonalds. Also how many places have employees that drop food, pick it up and brush it off, and then serve it? People are seriously lacking morals, and usually have no repercussions either if they do something bad. It's depressing.
I don't like ordering delivery. I go pick up the food myself.
That way, it's hot when I get it, the food goes straight home in a few minutes... and I know exactly where it's been and how it was handled.
I don't want cold food, slow delivery or mystery ingredients added.
Pizza Delivery drivers know the bad customers and will shake your pizza.

Yeh, I took care of my best delivery customers.

That's a straight up dumb driver. An always tipper that close would always be at the top of my list....and were.
Help these days...sheesh

This is why when we eat out, it's at non-chain family style restaurants, or local BBQ joints.
