Went in for a teeth cleaning, because I never had it professionally done. Didn't see a need to go to the dentist and take fluoride and be a submissive little sheep. My teeth needed help with some plaque buildup, so i sought help with the dental hygienist. I was told that there wasn't fluoride in the abrasive paste they used to polish my teeth. I have healthy teeth for the most part. Just have a hard time fully getting them cleaned because i have excessive wisdom teeth and my jaw is small. I got the lecture when they said i had cavities, but when i looked at the Xrays, i knew it was minor and not as bad as the last dentist said. I just needed surgery months ago, but i was still pregnant when i needed the teeth pulled, so had to put it off and the surface level cavities. They did the cleaning and then lectured me on the not going to the dentist enough and needing to brush my teeth with fluoride la da da da da. But since then, a week later, my mouth feels sensitive, and im in a lot of pain. Its like the cleaning caused the problem, not my waterpik and DIY home cleaning of my teeth. What happened to me? I feel I have made a mistake

If you haven’t been to the dentist in a while and you’ve had your teeth cleaning - yes your gums and mouth may hurt for a little bit. But not more than 10 days.
I’ve been to the dentist easily 50 times. Every time you go, they’re going to tell you to brush & floss more, and to use a water pic. It’s standard procedure.
Coming from a person who inherited my dad’s poor teeth, take care of the ones you have. If they say you have a cavity, get it fixed right away. No amalgam fillings. Insist on no amalgam fillings. The sooner you get those little cavities filled, the better for you and your overall oral health. If you wait too long, you’re going to end up needing to get root canals, and caps on your teeth, and that costs thousands and thousands of dollars - per tooth.
If you weren’t happy with that dental office, then find another one and get it taken care of as soon as possible. Don’t get all prideful and mess around with your teeth. The sooner you manage all of this, the better off, you’ll be.
It sounds like you have great healthy teeth. Keep them that way.
Ps. If you’re still having pain in your mouth and you’re not feeling well, then find another dentist and get in right away. If there’s an infection, they’ll give you an anabiotic. During the same visit, you could have them do x-rays of your teeth and find out if you really have cavities or if they were just BSing you at the other place.
Take a look at Uncle Harry's Natural Products. I used to go to the dentist every year, and my mouth would bleed for up to a month after cleaning. My gums were always sore and sensitive. A friend told me to try this product. It only takes a small amount. That combined with a soft brush and light stroke, really turned me around. I haven't been to the dentist in 10 years, yet my gums never bleed, and they don't hurt or ache. In fact, it actually feels like the enamel was strengthened. I have no affiliation with the company. Just a very satisfied customer. I have had many friends and family try it, and they love it. Just a thought.
Thanks, I’ll check out uncle Harry’s. I love finding good natural products.
Thanks for this suggestion.
Water pic was the best habit I ever stuck with. No flouride. I even avoid x-rays whenever possible. Next adventure will be a naturopathic dentist.
There's nothing as good as what God gave you. As an older guy, I've reached the point where all of my previous dental work has started breaking down and I'm gonna end up with implants. My advice is to take care of what you have because all of the little stuff adds up down the road. I commend you for your avoidance of fluoride, I suspect that will be a big help. Fluoride is poison. What pisses me off, but is positive in the end, is that soon we'll learn that cavities are reversible and that they can even re-grow teeth.
Chlorine Dioxide rinse.
It sounds like you have periodontal disease going on and if you don't get the disease under control, it will get worse and tooth loss will occur. If you haven't had your teeth cleaned professionally, your gums are swollen from the bacteria and calculus buildup, and also causes bone loss. Pregnancy stresses your body, which doesn't help either. The crowding of teeth along with Wisdom teeth ( third molars) are known precursors that cause periodontal disease because it is hard to keep them clean and your risk of interproxmel caries is high. When the hygienist removed the debris from your teeth, the inflammation in your gums will shrink and the area of the tooth where it is not covered with enamel is exposed, called Dentin, sensitivity will occur. The tubulars are open and any thermal changes will be felt. I'm not a fluoride fan, but fluoride seals the tubulars, but, do not swallow it. Sensodyne toothpaste will help eliminate the sensitivity but be aware, at the gum line where the gums have recede and more of the root is exposed, the more susceptible you are to caries and sensitivity. Sounds like you are young, if you are a candidate, I would suggest removing the wisdom teeth and have a orthodontist straighten the alignment so it will be easier to keep them clean and gums healthier. This is a common experience adults have.
I plan on getting my wisdom teeth removed first, because it is the root cause of most of my problems
That's the best first thing to do. Then look into seeing a regular orthodontist. Not those clear aligners , that's for people who need minor correction and if your case is complexed, you would get a better result with a orthodontist. Good luck, I know it's expensive, and time consuming, but it's worth it in the long run. you want good oral heath because bad teeth and guns will effect your overall health because of the bacteria from your mouth enters the bloodstream.
This was an excellent, thoughtful, and well-reasoned response. Thanks for posting it.
Ahhh thank you. I've work in the dental field over 30 yrs and still working . That's my job, to help people and I love it.
Get into chewing xylitol gum every day. It is a natural sugar that mouth bacteria like to eat but cannot use as energy so they die. My teeth have gone from bad stains on certain teeth to much better over a couple of years. I think in another year or two they will be perfect. It can heal cavities too they say by creating an environment that allows the calcium present in saliva to remineralize the teeth. I get a pack of PUR gum with two mg of xylitol in each gum and chew two at a time about twice a day.
This is the kind of answer I was looking for, thank you!!
Might want to add Vitamin K2, it tells the body where to distribute calcium (to bones and teeth and where it's needed. Link to previous GAW post from a year ago - Eye-Opening Vitamin K2 Lecture! (www.bitchute.com) 🧘Mental/Physical Health 🏋🏼♂️
We add a couple drops of Fennel Sweet Oil on the toothbrush every time we brush and it leaves your teeth slick/smooth like you've just had them cleaned! Found that as part of a fungal cleanse a while back and just continued.
Thanks!! Very helpful
Check out this thread on earthclinic, mentions swishing and spitting out diluted iodine.

Clove is well known for helping with pain. Maybe switch to a better/ different tooth powder and oil pull. I have just started using dirty mouth tooth powder and their gum drops, which is an olive and essential oil blend.
Great info shared here!
David Straight told me this: Use Lactobacillus Salivarius each day and you won't need to see a dentist. Take 2 capsules and pour the powder in your mouth. Swish it around for about 20-30 minutes. Or you can use a tooth brush and brush normal with the powder. It will get rid of plaque and rebuild your gums.
However, I do a little more: I use natural baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and silver.
If you want to actually heal your teeth and gums, try a pure carnivore diet for 3 months. Your mouth will love you, and your body too! (but don't cheat, because mixing fats/proteins with carbohydrates causes vascular glycation and leads to clogged arteries. Either eat pure keto/carnivore, or just continue your current thing)
Are implants worth it or are there other alternatives? He needs 7.
If your a candidate for implants, they can be a Iife saver to some people. Expensive. The implants maintains the horizontal bone level. When we lose teeth, the socket fills in and the bone legalshrinks unless you add bone graft. Like pulling a tree out the the ground and filling the hole with the dirt that was dug up. That place will sink in the ground, you have to add dirt. Same principle.
I have no affiliation with this company but I use their products. I don’t know how but their ozenated olive oil with peppermint does wonders for oral health-

*Ozenated coconut oil for skin rashes and skin ailments cures many long term irritations in just one application. A tiny bit goes a very long way.
Time to find a different dentist.
BTW, find a dentist who is awake. Mine gives me so much info, its never a wasted hour!
Time for a new dentist, do your homework finding them. I was in the middle of a cleaning when they stopped after I said I wanted no fluoride. If the dentist asked you if you got the Crony shot, that should be enough to find another. I wonder why you don't trust this dentist ?
I had a crown and tooth pulled because either the metal used in the post was causing an infection for 2 years or the dentist broke the tooth installing it.
Sounds like the tooth was fractured vertical. You could have cracked it originally, thus needed a root canal/ post and crown. If the fracture runs vertical into the bone level, the tooth can't be saved. Hard to see fractures unfortunately, one day the fracture is small then through years of chewing, possibly grinding your teeth or clenching will make the fracture run deeper.
Thanks for this post. Helpful comments. Besides flossing, I also use a glutathione swish. Amazing stuff, but annoyingly sold in a network marketing company. I just use it. I don't sell it, but could tell you where to get it if you have an interest. It reduces inflammation and is an antioxidant.
It wasn't Aspen Dental was it?
No! Thank God. It is a small practice. My normal dentist wasn't available l, so I was lectured by the other dentist.
Every time I use my water pick, my teeth are really sore for a day.
Try avoiding that for a week and see what happens.
Maybe the pressure is to high?
