Anon shares on Wifi Lightbulbs. Can anybody who knows of this topic shed some light?
If you haven't heard about "LIFI" you will.
Following is a brief explanation:
"At its essence, LiFi operates as a Visible Light Communications (VLC) system, promising unparalleled wireless internet speeds. Central to this system are LED light bulbs. These bulbs emit swift light pulses, imperceptible to the human eye, laden with information. It’s akin to an advanced, hyper-speed Morse code. Devices fitted with the requisite receivers decode this influx of data at breathtaking speeds. Demonstrated potential transmission rates for LiFi have even surpassed 224 Gbps, a pace that dwarfs WiGig, one of the most rapid Wi-Fi technologies."
where did you get them? I hate these things, the lighting makes me depressed. I am 73, not that much left in my lifetime. I would gladly bulk order them if I knew where to get em.
Look for "full-spectrum" light bulbs. They are still LED, but they replicate sunlight effectively.
You can buy them at pet stores, especially the ones that specialize in fish and reptiles, because they discovered that normal indoor led lights were killing the frogs. And the fish. And the plants. Studies on humans are probably out there somewhere, suppressed.
I have a full spectrum LED cob light over the sink light and it has paid for itself in reduced cost-the fluorescent light was generating too much heat and not enough light so I changed it and it is sunlight in my kitchen-the darkest room in my place..
Not the same. You want lights created by "fire." Incandescents and halogens. As stated in the article, LED lights flicker faster than the conscious mind can notice. Although I can see this flicker occasionally.
Just stumbled on this ad earlier today: https://healthlighting.com/collections/chromalux-full-spectrum-light-bulbs
Thanks, Mr A! Just bought some for the new lighting I'm putting in next week!
WWGWGA - into the light!
You can still find them on Amazon. I use 40 watt for my lamps. Make sure you get A19 bulb size with E26 base size. Right now Xtricity brand is selling them on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Frosted-Incandescent-Rough-Service-Light/dp/B07PRN85RP/ref=sr_1_17?keywords=xtricity+light+bulbs&qid=1707093635&s=hi&sr=1-17
I didn't go to the site yet, but are these the "full-spectrum" bulbs that were mentioned above? If so are they also part of the comm system that regular LED's are being referred to in this topic?
I don't think so.
They are not LED.
I hope you are right, if so I will probably buy them. Thanks.
thank you
I bought them the first time, they tried to ban them 10-15 years ago.....
