this is so interesting, there's probably less that 1000 jewish people in SD🤷♀️

"RAPID CITY, South Dakota (AP) — The first Jews to settle in what is now South Dakota established themselves in Deadwood during the Gold Rush more than 150 years ago, finding a niche selling hardware, groceries, dry goods and more. By 1920, the state was home to some 1,300 Jews.
That community has dwindled to an estimated 390 people — less than a tenth of 1 percent of South Dakota’s population. No U.S. state has fewer Jews. It’s a small, but tightly knit flock that makes do without a permanent rabbi and worries too few children are coming along to sustain it.
“Nobody wants to be the last one to turn the lights out,” said Steve Benn, a neonatal doctor who serves as lay leader at Synagogue of the Hills in Rapid City. He orchestrates bar mitzvah ceremonies, performs ritual circumcisions and conducts funeral services.
The reasons for the decline vary. Some members stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base in western South Dakota transferred elsewhere and took their families, some doctors working on Indian reservations were eventually reassigned and other Jews simply left in search of better opportunities in more populous areas."
Thank you for the great education . Deadwood is actually a really cool place . I go to South Dakota often . I’m from San Diego so the difference is incredible , we can shoot guns outside off the road nearly any where and buy ammo at the gas stations and little stores like a country type 7’11 . Crazy
you're welcome! lucky to be in the upper Midwest & see all this first hand, makes the patterns easier to identify. example; I wouldn't know anything about Maine;)
And totally agree on the Western side of SD, it's very pretty, lots of conservatives makes for a drama free visit🤠 And if you ever get a chance, go east to Yankton & Lewis and Clark lake. real nice with the river & all the hills. lots of duck hunting around there too.
I will check that out thank you! Lots of pheasant hunting where I’m usually at . I don’t hunt myself , not against it at all, but I’ve never liked meat , I’m a salad , beans , fruit and cereal girl . I’m an animal lover too , in fact ducks are one of my favorites lol. So I couldn’t shoot them myself , but as I said I’m all for hunting , esp for food, I don’t like hunting as a sport just to kill , many do ! Either way , I’m a strong 2nd A girl ;
you're welcome and I like to fish, so we see all the birds too, ducks=water:) and to me, seems like there's more water activities east of the Missouri. this is where we go, on the SD NE border, my favorite place in the summer. can hear the animals just looking at the pictures, lots of toads, birds, beaver, etc.

WTF don't they javelin any real problems.
You'll find very few politicians in the US that won't bend the knee to the chosen. Some of them are just that braindead, and some of them realize the sheeple are just that braindead.
Who is the guy with six fingers pressed to the table?
Palestinians are Semitic people.
It blows a lot of people's minds to realize arab muslims are semites.
WTF?
With republicans like these, who needs democrats.
Stop stealing Americans tax dollars from tax payers and sending the money to Israel war machine. Fact(s) 1) number one export from Israel is Diamonds 2) Israel has no Diamond mines.
