This is a very powerful way to conceptualize anxiety, stress, and general panic that humanity experiences.
I've often found that the thoughts that lead to these emotional states operate on a feedback loop. The negative self reflection leads to anxiety, that stress feeds back into the negative thoughts, and if the cycle is not broken it then leads to what people experience as panic attacks.
This is why psychological operations that focus on exploiting the hubris and ego of humanity are so effective. They hijack a person's self image and use that state of consciousness to induce anxiety that then allows for easier control of an individual's decision making capacity. We saw this first hand with the C19 event.
Memes like this are the Achilles heel of these psy-ops though. Memetic warfare has a way of resetting the feedback loop through basic humor and positive thought processes.
You are what you tell yourself that you are. You can not judge yourself based on how others treat you.
Here's some things I've learned in my own personal journey over the last few years. These things remove blaming yourself for what others do. You are not in control of anyone or anything but your own reactions to things that happen.
After applying these things, you'll never again have to ask yourself "what am I doing to deserve being treated this way?"
if they want to, they will
people treat you how they feel about you
the way people treat you is their self reflection
who they are in the end is who they are
everyone knows what they're doing
On #3 ; it is self reflection because you can't give anyone that in which you haven't already given yourself. If you don't love yourself, you absolutely can not love anyone else.
Also remember that :
you can't go back in time and change things
nobody knows the future
all you have is the actual "right now"
This means that everything is temporary and only one page in one chapter to the book of your life.
Anxiety and depression are also two forms of "poor-me" storytelling about the future and past.
Anxiety is a story you tell yourself that creates and justifies fear of what the future holds—and fear of inability to cope with it. Poor you, what if you can't handle it.
Depression is a story you tell yourself that creates and justifies remorse and regret over the past. Poor you, look at what happened to you; you deserved so much better but got shafted [or conversely, You deserved what you got and worse, you are such crap, you deserve to feel depressed now].
Neither of these stories is the real you. It isn't even your friend. The real you is the consciousness that understands this.
The future and past are both nonexistent. Only an image of them inhabits your mind. The current moment is all there actually is, and it's a precious gift from the Creator—that's why it's called the present. :)
Remember that we do indeed teach other people how to treat us by what we tolerate, encourage or refuse to allow. Growing up with self-esteem is not guaranteed; sometimes we have to learn it as adults.
Basically saying get rid of negative thoughts about yourself that aren’t true. You can do it. Think positively.
...in this instance i'll forgive him for perpetuating the myth that 'conspiracy theory' denotes something untrue
It's a liberal disease.

I agree with this.
