I have followed a number of content creators on FB / YouTube / Twitter(X) that had their "basic" (non-offensive) stuff on those platforms, and encouraged listeners to join them on Locals / Patreon / Substack for the rest. I like that approach because it gives listeners the option to get an idea of what the content is about before committing to a paid subscription.

Well your page will have ads. If you do too much you will loose your audience. If you do ads for companies people hate it could go bad quickly.
