How is it illegal to ask about citizenship, since I believe it is illegal to hire a non-U.S. citizen unless they have a legal work visa, green card (is that the same?), or other LEGAL reason to be in the U.S.
DEI was always optics/ lip-service for public image & stock price inflation. BR & Vanguard are well aware if this. It’s illegal, under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, to achieve quotas on any protected class and disenfranchising others in the process.
