I think his name is spelled "Dweeben" (adverb form of the word dweeb)... which would explain the snorting of the helium, etc.

The name fits....dweeben is the German spelling. I once worked with a guy named Glasscock. He admitted that he'd considered changing his name during his high school and college years.
