Its being sold to prevent impaired drivers but those of us that are awake which is everyone on this site know what its really going to be used for. The normies should yuk it right up if there are any left. To recap many car makers got all in on electric and once the govt sponsored deal to sell them to rental companies expired it exposed the real numbers which we all knew would be dog $hit. Now this. Almost as if we are watching a movie.
"Hey guys ChrisFix here and today I'm going to be showing you how to disable your car's kill switch"
Sales will slow to a crawl and Automakers will face bankruptcy yet again....
time to stock up on good used running carbureted cars!
New cars suck and they're ugly too.
Like the suburban 3000 unit home development that has 3 different models with the reverse view. EVERYTHING LOOKS THE SAME.
Think the'll have another "cash for clunkers" buyback to get a lot of the old cars off the road?
I have witnessed a person who was under court orders to blow in a bag before starting the car - In my opinion, that was a good thing, because this person would still be drinking sprits in the early hours, the night before work. The panicked call would arrive because 'my car won't start'. The dude would reek of alcohol on the way to work.
There are other 'features' that will cause more accidents than they are intended to prevent, such as automatic lane assist, that won't allow one to cross 'the line', which one has to do occasionally, say around roadworks - with the result that one will lose control just when one is needing it.
The automatic braking is pretty scary. Like that needs to work only if EVERYONE has automatid braking, or one could get rear-ended. What could possibly go wrong.
The eyeball tracing software is pretty strange too, when one thinks about it. The computer cannot distinguish one looking sideways at something as: intending to move in that direction, or checking for traffic.
