IDK what to believe anymore. I was trying to research this and of course because the billion dollar rehab industry is against it, I'm sus - even though the arguments against are pretty logical.
Anyone have any experience with this personally or with a loved one?
Interesting. Why do you think this and why do you have mushrooms in quotes? Because they are naturally occurring or something?
There is some evidence that the psilocybin in "magic mushrooms" can cause an "ego reset" and free a mind from things to which they are addicted, like bad memories, addictions, etc.
All of this is made difficult because the Gummint has classed this as a Class I Drug, making real scientific research extremely difficult. But I suspect it is entirely true, and possibly that peyote/mescaline or ayahuasca would have the same effect, and, yes, LSD. But please be suuuuper careful, especially in Clown Fentanyl World. Eat some tainted mushrooms and you will "wake up dead". Need to make sure of the source, etc.
EDIT: I would add three more things: 1. Marijuana is most likely not a good idea here, as Donny_Fiasco states. 2. Hypnosis can be very effective. and 3. Couple any treatment with heavy pre- and pro-biotics, as for an alcoholic, it is almost a surety that they have a gut imbalance.
This is true, but I am especially keying into "at all". Here's why:
Some folks go right into deep hypnosis (~30%). These folks can be helped very significantly by a hypnotist with their best interests in mind.
Some folks are "not hypnotizable". I would suggest that 70% of the population think they fall into this category, but it's actually more like 30%.
The rest of these folks are "suggestable." Meaning that I do think the suggestions given to people in a relaxed state can be impactful.
Also, 1) some hypnotists suck, so find a good one, and 2) there is more than one way to hypnotize, and one way might not work at all on a person, and another way might work extremely well.
Best of success.
I should add a final note: I am in the camp that there is no such thing as hypnosis. I am also in the camp that there is such a thing as self-hypnosis, and hypnotists are really just there to suggest your brain into initiating the protocol.
I know for a fact I am not hypnotizable. now pardon me while I go hop around my yard like a bunny...
Hypnosis is always to be avoided. Not a Christian… then have at it.
I'd wager early religious text and psalms are the first forms of hypnosis
I believe prayer is form of constructive self-hypnosis.
In any case, if one is worried about demons taking over, there are things you can do, if subjected to involuntary hypnosis. Remember that some of the MKUltra programming is hypnosis, so it is all around us, coming from our screens, so to speak.
There is a Bible passage about a woman desperately trying to touch the hem of Jesus' clothes in order to be healed (Mark 5). In this way, one can seek protection by strongly visualizing such an action. Remember that this passage is not about the clothes, but Jesus himself, and one's faith in him.
Asking for help from Jesus, Mary, or one of the angels to aid you, will work - because they will act as guardians. Also, demanding the name of the entity, and their intention, means they have to answer. Which will expose them.
All hypnosis is is asking your subconscious to talk to your conscious. If you think that opens the door for demons to step in or something, that's your call.
I mean, it kinda would. Opening up the mind to lower forms of thoughts is going to open up to all forms of spiritual interferance, both 'demonic' and 'holy'. It's like opening up the city gates to let in an entourage of people, versus vetting people in one at a time. Lot of trust that the bad won't come in with the good.
mushrooms and LSD make you look a life from a different perspective. Mushrooms show your connection to everything in the universe and LSD can let you look at yourself from a third person or "outside looking in". Both will change a life if ingested.
he has "drug" in quotes because it's completely naturally occurring, just like marijuana.
I figured the quotes were to disclude them from the rest of the mushroom community.
Yes because mushrooms are natural
There is a nonzero chance that hallucinogens can open doors to spirit realms as well, possibly including possession for some people. There are reasons old pagan priests used them.
I’ve heard both extremely good and extremely bad things out of this. Proceed with extreme caution.
Going by the parasite pill’s claims (look up the pdf), one potential cause of alcoholism is parasitic influence to gain access to food/fuel they thrive in.

Prayer, fasting, and potentially anti-parasitics can all help. I’ve heard good results from following AA’s 12 step program. Don’t drink while taking anti-parasitics, fairly sure they tax the liver.
Never try to just quit alcohol. Nature abhors a vacuum, pulling it out without a replacement is indeed futile. The hole WILL be refilled. “With what” is a critical answer. The train of thought is not the wrong direction, there’s a good logic behind it, just need to tweak the course a bit more.
