Makes sense. Even liberal parents paying for kids to go to UNC don't want their kids hurt or intimidated by "protestors."
Chapel Hill even before it was a liberal bastion, was a bastion of self-designated elites. They just knew they were better than mere other people! I judge that attitude still exists. So how dare those protestors impinge on "our" quality of life?!? Despite any liberal affinity, Not In My Backyard! Not in beautiful, elite Chapel Hill!
sauce: personal experience
Minor: for an anniversary, spouseanon and I dined at a "French" restaurant in Chapel Hill. It cost more than we spent for a real French dinner at the Court of the Two Sisters in New Orleans! Where we were seated outdoors next to the fountain! And where we also enjoyed adult beverages! "The Court of Two Sisters is more than a restaurant – it’s a legend". I don't even remember or care to, the name of that overpriced place in Chapel Hill, with not a mote of the ambience at more than the price!
Major: we suffered great harm [don't ask I can't tell] which was explained to us as the "Plantation mentality" still existent in Chapel Hill at that time. Not race based! but applied to anyone not elite enough to be provided what the rest of us would deem reasonable care.
So the frat boys got a win, and I do not doubt there are some Patriots in Chapel Hill and at UNC!
But do not believe Chapel Hill is conservative other than to protect and conserve their own elitism.
In case anyone is curious the sum being transferred into the Police/Public Safety Budget will end up being around 2.3 Million Dollars.
And it’s expected most of the Administrators currently involved in the DEI department. Will be laid off or outright sacked if they are unable or unwilling to transfer into different roles.
All the professors and administrators that previously believed in this still believe in this. They're not going to suddenly cancel all the gender studies, multicultural studies, queer studies classes and the professors in the other subjects aren't going to stop injecting their political beliefs into their classes. And thus the college will continue to pump out more empty headed social justice automatons.
Bravo to these young Patriots for doing what was right. I sincerely mean that. But as far as UNCCH goes, for me, the name will always be tainted by Ralph Baric, illicit gain-of-function studies, and the development of Remdesivir (Brand name: VEKLURY).
Hey man Google Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima (Japanese: 硫黄島の星条旗, Hepburn: Iōtō no Seijōki, lit. 'The Stars and Stripes on Iōtō') is an iconic photograph of six United States Marines raising the U.S. flag atop Mount Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima in the final stages of the Pacific War.
I'd say the scholarship athletes are the alpha males. The frat boys may act alpha, but compared to collegiate wrestlers or boxers, or weight lifters, they aren't even close.

Did they previously require multiple jabs? That’s all I want to know about colleges these days.
This is encouraging. Finally speak up, be heard.

God bless these young men! it's a start!
They bend to the wind. They will bring the insanity back. They are crazy leftist after-all.
