Are the warhawks willing to send 20 000? (Approximately 20% of their active force - devastating. Or 10%, if you count all the reserves as well. In other words, the classical decimation - taking 10% is what Romans used to punish an army.

Do explain how that translates to the Russian/Ukrainian border (two countries away). As far as I know, no stray bombs have landed in Lithuania, not even from Belarus.
Certainly an escalation of some measure but luckily attacking Lithuanian troops in Ukraine is not the same as an attack on a NATO member nation directly.
