Don't forget Ross Perot too! Made money charts to SHOW the people.
Frankly, the best nominees I saw from them in recent memory were Jo Jorgenson and Harry Browne. This nominee is Johnson 2.0, who, IMHO was one of, if not the worst, I've seen) I believe it was Mike Lindell who reported that some votes were flipped from Jorgenson to Biden (through a double flip) I'm not certain of all the details, but I do recall hearing about it back at the time.
What was wrong with Gary Johnson?
Seemed like a decent guy to me: a popular and populist Republican Gov of new Mexico.
Watch the 2016 Libertarian debate with Mc Afee, Petersen and Johnson, moderated by John Stossell. He would not stand for religious freedom over catering to the LGBTQIA(P) community on the issue of states' rights. Both McAfee and Petersen would.

Ok, that one's substantive.
Johnson was a decent (not great) Republican governor but then he became a single issue candidate as a Libertarian Prez candidate - Legalize recreational marijuana - that's it.
Yeah, I remember that. Definitely a gotcha; I was hoping he'd recover. I assume he was trying to make the point that America comes first, and was corralled and edited into a gaffe.
Just to add, he also knew nothing about foreign policy. In many interviews he was clueless.
I voted for Gary Johnson once. What ruined his career was his “What’s Aleppo?” Answer to a question about Syria.
Ross Perot was in a different third party- the Reform Party.
Ross Perot was with the Reform Party. Trump was once a part of the Reform Party. Pat Buchanan and Jesse Ventura too. Ventura was the only successful Reform Party politician. Then the controlled opposition threw that KKK bozo David Duke into the Reform Party and Trump gave up on them. Trump had polled well for a potential Reform Party Presidential candidate up until then.
