I've worked on a lot of 100 year old buildings and never seen cinder blocks, sorry folks but you're looking for a cartel trafficking drugs and humans or a rabi doing worse stuff not a bootlegger or a speak easy.
They should be able to date those tunnels by the composition of those bricks.
jew tunnels
Did they find any mattresses?
Hmm...
Ybor City has long been known as "the party/club district" of the Tampa/St Pete area. It really became popular with the rise of the techno music scene in the late 90s to early 2000s. Literal underground Bootlegging was probably done here back during Prohibition, but those tunnels look like they were built during the Underground Railroad days. It wouldn't be too far a hike to where Rosewood was established.
Hidden "for decades"?? How many?? And where do they end up?? at the sea?? Where??
Lovely place if you need your fix. Got a flat tire there one night on my way home to Bradenton, back in '89. Luckily, it was right across the street from the police maintenance garage.
Bradenton is so yucky now in the city. My friend lives there and I visit him once every couple months. Last trip I saw so many people tweaking on drugs, hookers working and dealers selling all in broad daylight and no cops anywhere in sight. It’s sad how much that place has fallen.
It was a bit shaky even back then, but everything else down there was so expensive at the time, and I was going through my internship on Longboat Key. I used to walk up to a place called Wags, on the corner of Cortez and 14th Ave, for coffee (probably long gone by now), as it was a short distance from the hovel I lived in, and would get stopped for identification checks by the police quite frequently, as they thought I might be a male hooker kek. After a while, I just started driving the few blocks instead. I don't blame them, though, as I was also accosted, more than once, by an old black guy in a Caddy who was probably looking for a hummer.
Probably both.
Maybe mudflood remnants

Stop noticing.
Found? Looks more like forgotten and rediscovered.
Isn't Tampa full of Scientologists? Although I guess these predate 'ol Ron.
Clearwater, FL, just north of St Pete Beach is known locally as "the town that Scientology built," but has existed since before the rise of Hubbard and his cult. He originally home ported his Sea Org vessel there. The town is creepy AF. Visiting that place reminds me of that movie "The Stepford Wives," or whatever it's named. If you ever get th chance to visit the area, check it out.
