Why is the government in Idaho shutting down water for 500,000 acres of farmland even though Idaho has no shortages of water at all? Why did they change the formula to calculate water use a few years ago without consultation? Why are they forcing farmers to sign new contracts that will inevitably force them to shut down anyway? They plan to take away 6,000 acres of farmland in Idaho per year. Costs $2,000-3,000/acre to grow potatoes there. This is going to be a disaster. The government hates farmers.
prayers for all of the farmers and ranchers out there...having to battle every season for survival...was just thinking that this may be "the hill to die on" for your rights, because, if you are deprived of the needed water, you're dead anyhow, metaphorically speaking, with no crop, no income, can't pay your property taxes and your family heritage will be "gone with the wind" anyhow...just a thought, and pray that it doesn't come to this decision for y'all...God bless, you don't have much time to settle this issue...
The governor should step in and save the harvest. Then argue about it. Unless he is in on the theft. Otherwise there is not much time

Actually it’s the Idaho government that’s doing this curtailment. https://www.idahopress.com/news/local/shut-off-idaho-department-of-water-resources-director-issues-water-curtailment-order/article_5969f332-1f7a-11ef-854e-e77528f9f427.html
If it's the Idaho government, recall them. What gives them the authority to shut off the water to farms?
They shouldn’t be able to, but they’re going to try. It’s getting to the point where the people who just want to be left alone stand up.

In Idaho?
Is it just Idaho that is effected by water shortage?
