True, but she did everything in her power to follow God and keep his commandments. That is why God chose her to give birth to his only son. Mary did get into trouble as a child, but she also repented and likely asked God for forgiveness.

The artist didn't even need a woman in labor. But who will sit still and allow themselves to be sculpted or painted while being depicted giving birth.
