The other roofs where the snipers are sloped as well, or not?
Yes, but it was this building in particular that was the danger. No doubt something to do with it being sloped at it's highest point.
My God man, don't you trust the Director of the Secret Service?
No. I don't. :-)
I do trust the DSS, about as much as I trust a cat to be left alone with a bird outside of its cage.
That much? Are you new here? (Joking!)
I have seen much steeper roofs on houses all across the nation.
Implicitly.
They're from the government, and they're here to help. What kind of tinfoil-hat wearing whacko DOESN'T trust our wonderful, democratic government??
WTF kind of forum IS this place???
Taxes are the price we pay for civilization! The roads would never get paved!!!
Exactly! And I say don't worry even if they don't trust the Secret Service director because the FBI are investigating now and certainly they are trustworthy! I'm glad they are getting a brand new building on our dime. Best money we ever spent besides Ukraine!
Yes but those snipers were real men.
They had girly men, inside the building drinking coffee and eating donuts.
I've worked on roofs like that many times, the metal flexes when you walk on it and makes tons of noise down below. They had to have heard him up their.
Yes. The noise, I thought the same thing.
Thank you, that's exactly what I told my wife.
The roof the sniper team was on was twice this slope.
This is literally a dumb bitch coming up with excuses after the fact.

I thought it looked like a 1/12, so the bitch literally called a "flat roof" too sloped.
More so.
This roof looks like a 2/12 pitch. So 2 inches of fall in 12 inches of run. That wouldnt effect a person at all. When I was building steel buildings out west this is the same type roof we installed. Corrugated sheet metal at a 2/12 pitch. A bity slippery when wet, sure, but dry you barely notice it.
Without going back and looking at the pics again, the roofs the snipers were on looked to be at least 4/12 pitch. So twice as steep and I think the reason the tripod had legs on both sides of the peak. On the shooters building you probably could have set your tripod anywhere on the roof.
Here you go: https://x.com/amuse/status/1813258001803059391
And it was twice as steep.
