He just mentioned enemy subs off the coast of Florida. I was at a cook out over the 4th July weekend and a guy there is in the Air Force in Florida, his job is looking for enemy subs off the coast. I didn’t get a chance to talk to him. Also it wasn’t an environment I could speak freely about the subject. Not to mention I don’t know him or his wife.
We're under invasion by land by non-uniformed forces. Our nuclear deterrent insures those enemy subs do nothing.
What does the Geneva Convention say about un-uniformed enemy combatants and their fates?
Treated as spies and saboteurs. Death!
It is considered perfidy to perform combative actions while in the guise of civilians or in the uniform of a neutral or adverse party (aka your enemy).
Using disguises in non-combative ways, such as for espionage or for infiltration of troops ahead of a conflict, however, is considered a legitimate ruse of war so long as they do not engage in combat while so disguised.
I heard something about Russia having a sub off Florida and tested missiles and coincidentally there was flash floods this week and the theory was it was cloud seeding
That would be unusual for an Air Force guy. The Navy has been flying P-3s along the Florida coast for quite some time. Including off Mar-a-Lago. I haven’t watched for quite a while, but I bet they are still doing it and expanding the operation.
This guy is stationed in Jacksonville Florida. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to talk to him.
He is probably a Navy P-3 guy. That is one of their bases. Limited chance he is an exchange officer. That is done sometimes.
