I seem to remember reading somewhere many years ago that there are still 40-odd cases of plague every year in the US, mostly in western states like Colorado. The article does mention that there are a few cases every year. So for there to be 1 case now, and they want us to panic, is just fear-mongering as usual.
Every year this same news is sensationalized…foothills here so no prairie dogs but plenty of squirrels and other rodents. What’s so bad about a little plague between friends eh?
Funny part is fleas aren't much of a problem in Colorado. Never had to treat my dog in Colorado, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico... Washington, Michigan and elsewhere sure. If this "plague" exists still it will rip through every humid state, Colorado won't be the launch site and if it is the casualties will be far less than neighboring Nebraska or Kansas. I call bullshit.

Gotta make as many excuses as possible for those sudden deaths.
The intellectual dishonesty of this, is that all rodents carry bubonic plague.
I was born and raised in Aurora, everyone knew that the prairie dogs had plague, it's why you don't touch and play with wild squirrels, etc.
It's only a problem now because they're drawing attention to it. It's only a problem when they need it to be.

Just wait til they draw everyone's "sudden" attention to TB.
There are about 1.5M (legit) TB infections per year, which almost no one seems to notice or care about........because they haven't been told to, yet.
I had a pet prairie dog at one point and I never had a problem. Maybe them ones up in Broomfield were cleaner than the ones you had in Saudi-Aurora.
And they need something to be right now. Winning
Illegals are bringing fleas
and bed bugs
Yawn. I'm tired of this shit.
I think that's fitting. The Flea Flu for the Flea Circus we are being entertained by.
So, when do we get a "vaccine?" Next month?
Imma git a large dog-sized flea collar n i be fine
