A little background on Whitchmer. Both parents are lawyers. Her father was head of the Michigan Department of Commerce under Milliken and then President and CEO of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Michigan from the mid 80s to the mid 2000s. Her mother was a State assistant Attorney General.
A graduate of MSU, she was the Ingham County prosecutor during the Nasser sex abuse/rape scandal at MSU and refused to charge him, necessitating the Chief of the MSU Police to take his charges to the State AG.
She has a cabal pedigree.
