This looks like an insect flying by. Zero motion blur. Even the NYT photographer Doug Mills has motion blur in his famous photo, which was taken at 1/8000.
wouldn't it have hit someone behind trump ?
Bugs can accidentally bump into people, yes
The blur effect would be dependent on frame rate of the video and, the speed of the bullet. Both of those variables are unknowns.
That's fair, but because we see the "bullet" for 5-6 frames, that means the video must have a very high speed FPS, greater than 8000 frames per second in all likelihood. Consumer cameras don't have that capability. I still think it's an insect catching the light or something.
Canon R7 offers 1/16,000 shutter speed.
That may be so but at 120fps that frame rate is nowhere close to being able to capture a bullet for 5-6 frames consecutively.
1/16,000 of a second is REALLY fast and can freeze action. I'm not saying it is a bullet, someone just said 1/8000 is as fast as you can get on a commercial camera.
Again, the speed of the bullet is an unknown variable. It could be moving at sub-sonic velocity.
it's like he faced a hail of bullets, and the best they could do is graze him.
But... with this one.. im sketchy..
That video isn't anywhere near the high-speed required to capture a bullet. Its framerate is a lot lower.
I've also watched it a few times and i'm under the impression someone in the crowd threw something because it does a clear arc and fall due to gravity.. something little like popcorn or a spitball sized garbage/paper .. maybe even a cigarette butt.. but something small tossed by someone.
I think the chance angle of the camera creates an optical illusion, that can be woven into the hype and take advantage of it that it may have been a bullet.
But i don't think that was moving fast enough to be a bullet. This is just my 5 minute take.
Honestly, I don't know what to make of this either. But, I'm sure it needs a better explanation than what I can provide.
Ok, I slowed the video down to .25 speed, and yes I saw βitβ. Maybe some anons with sharper eyes can weigh in. Is it possible that this bullet that hit the hydraulic line?
Possibly a suppressed sub sonic round and a high speed camera.
I did not see it at first, but then I saw it. It missed his jacket by what looked like inches. The video does need to be slowed down. The flight of that bullet looks like it came from the audience. But I have zero experience looking at bills going towards a president. Also, you do not need the crappy music.
"I am John Cullen" always plays that music. Very annoying.
I would also like to mention that the USSS has had access to technology that can track bullets in flight, in real time since the 1980's. Why is that tech not deployed at this (and EVERY) USSS event?
An expert weighed in I belive It's moving in a perfect line.
1/8000ths of a second at 900 fps yields a traveled distance of 1.3 inches
1/4000ths of a second at 900 fps yields a traveled distance of 2.7 inches
How far do we see it travel in 4-5 frames? 18 inches?
Then it's moving at 900 feet per second.
Possibly a .380ACP, at that speed. Or a subsonic 9mm (but that would be slooooowwwww) or 45ACP.
Plenty of subsonic 9mm loads show less than 900fps (in the gun tests you can find in plenty of gun magazines, for instance). Same for most .45 loads.
Yep. Entirely poss.
One can load up pretty much any bird to fly at 900 fps. OOTB that speed is more of a 380ACP speed, but you are correct. These folks have access to many resources and choices.
"I want an 8.6 BLK round that will walk across the yard really slowly and smile at the pretty girls while also making not a sound".
Yup. We can do that.
So, possibly real?
Okay... I'll need to see much more analysis on this one before I start sharing it.
How in the hell, if this is true, did a sniper miss so badly? βBut the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.β 2 Thessalonians 3:3
God has spoken.
If this IS a bullet, I believe it was fired by someone in the crowd and careful aiming might not have been possible.
I can't wait for next week when he starts with the aliens shooting green lasers at Trump before he took the stage asking "Did you see it?" with his obnoxious theme music playing. It's going to be so awesome!!! #weshouldjuststoprightnowpaytriot.
Give me a break with the hysterics. My gramma can throw faster than this alleged bullet. And she's dead.
Object's trajectory was UPWARDS so if a bullet, it was fired from BELOW Trump's location. Someone IN THE CROWD or otherwise located at a low level fired that bullet (subsonic and suppressed?), if indeed that's what the object is.
