And here's one probable reason why they cause violence in some people: SSRIs ruin many people's lives -- honestly, who WOULDN'T be incredibly upset if, after taking medication prescribed for depression, they were saddled with symptoms like this:

...compelling addendum, nicely stated and framed...
This article is Sus. Those meds don’t cause shootings. MKUltra and CIA/FBI meth/uppers and taunting encouragements towards crazy people cause shootings.
You're right about the shootings. But those drugs do make one unstable AF.
Not if used correctly, and for someone with an actual mental health issue/chemical imbalance besides a situational caused stressor. I spent 24 years working with the severely mentally ill youth and adults, and 18 years of that doing direct 5150 evals to lock people in psyc hospitals. I’ve seen all levels on meds, getting and shots. Only real/true severe personality disorder/sociopaths, Schizophrenia, severe PTSD, and manic bi-polar are the only potential violent mentally ill folk. The rest have a like 1-2% chance of committing violent crimes, when not on meth or other psychedelics.
People spinning out off Anti-depressants usually harm/kill themselves.
No most of these shootings, heavy and violent crimes are done by upper-drugs induced, brainwashed/coerced by Feds, or are an untreated violent mentally ill or severely situationally pissed off homicidal person.
Heck I take a solid anti-depressant dose and have no desire to wipe out anyone. And when I’ve been off them I just want to be in a dark closet, not go put on a rampage. Most of the tens of thousands of clients I worked with reported much of the same on/off their anti-depressant meds.
But, but meds used incorrectly for incorrect diagnosis’s or to even coerce one into certain actions….. that is something sadly, well studied and tested by the CIA.
Now see, your response has back up and experience. Thank you Tweety. I had to call out the other Anon that brought nothing to back his nothingburger but using his reading of MSN News. That was my point in calling. And your response is what a true Anon here should lay down in a factual discussion. And I can’t argue your personal experience, because why? It’s yours, real, and not told by “fake news”. God bless you Anon.
...the drugs into themselves are not causing the shootings...
...they only facilitate the implanting of thought processes...
They do make more than a few people very violent.
...indeed...
...I think this is within the realm of possibility...
...drugs along with hypnosis are a powerful combination...
Then you live in a cave. Every single shooter that killed more than one person was on one or the other of those drugs. I noticed that years ago. Not just school shooters but many other shootings or stabbings. To just dismiss this tells me you were on one of these drugs. I too was on one long ago but I only took it for 6 months before I realized the dangers and worked my way off them my self.
You didn’t read my entire thread Anon. Go back and carefully read what I wrote again. Especially at the bottom.
And to then discount someone’s combined personal and professional experience when you have none……That’s just a wee bit cave-living hypocrisy yourself Anon.
I’ve done my homework on this subject and lived it. I don’t want to debate but if you’d like to assault me on my knowledge, education, and professional experience regarding psychiatric treatments and results, you’d better brush up on about 20 years of psychiatric hospital work experience quickly, and get a handy psychiatric data-base to link off of, because I’m already prepped.
Oh wait….. you’ve already admitted you’ve just read the “news reports” on these shooters.
Debate over already. News reports don’t mean shit compared to long term treatment data and actual experience. Good night.
Mate claiming personal and professional experience doesn't mean it's the only answer. And if you work in psychology you should be well aware. Many drugs have side effects. And to claim imbalance in the brain implies you're old a.f because only old school would still believe that b.s
I understand the side effects. Just didn’t mention them because I forgot, while calling on the Anon whom used MSM to attempt to justify a position with NO, ZERO, NONE, ZIP, prior personal or professional experience in the realm of psychiatry, or psychiatric patient treatment, besides a 6 month trial of “a med that did nothing”. That was the Anon’s only blip to undermine professional and personal experience going back 25 years on the severely mentally ill that I worked with.
My whole point, especially being here in GAW is, if you’re going to debate another Anon, then back it up with proper techniques and info, and not just, “I read it in the news and took 1 pill for a few months, so I’m an expert now”. That was the point I was making to that Anon.
So I get your piece, but I didn’t go further, because as you can read, the called forth Anon had nothing further to “expert” on. Thank you for your assistance and additions though. God bless you Anon.
The appeal to authority fallacy
Yep the 800# pharmacudical Gorilla in the room that nobody talks about.
...absolute iron clad truth...
These drugs are farked. Have well known numerous side effects. I mean they even tell you in uni likely to cause the issues you're apparently attempting to fix. (But hey sounds like virtually every big HARMA drug)
And if anyone defends this garbage tell me .....how much you profit off the industry?
Of course those in big HARMA will defend this garbage 🤢
There's an important antecedent to the prescription of SSRIs... that's sexual abuse, leading to feelings of low self worth, anxiety, depression, and anger...
What was the effeminate bi doing ANYWHERE near an 8th grader???
...valid question in need of a valid answer...
This has been known about since the last century, and still the quacks prescribe them.
...money money money...
I don’t think I see the Columbine murderers in the list. They were hopped up on SSRIs.
My uncle committed suicide in 1971 and the psychiatrist told my mother that prozac was probably the reason. In the late 90s, my sister was suffering from depression and her doctor prescribed prozac. Within weeks, she started having homicidal thoughts and quit taking the drug.
...your sister was one of the smart ones...
