For clarification, Elon was given a boxabl house from boxabl and it sits in Texas inside the starbase property. He is not listed as an investor and no revenue was reported from his acquisition of the $50k home.
From articles I’ve read he doesn’t live in it every day.
I have a lot of questions about a folding house in a box of how air and water sealing works, what kind of snow load it can take and what amount of insulation it has.
Sips panel houses seem to have more advantages. Much more customizable. They still show up on a truck pre cut and ready to assemble like Legos.
The problem is the US Dollar, that's why homes aren't affordable
There are other "3d printed" prefab homes out there already that are, like this one, much more affordable than traditional homes. To me, something like this would be great for a guest unit to add onto a property (mother in law suite) or a rental or even a "cabin by the lake". Overall price will verry I am sure, 10k is not the final price on delivery but, it may be, when it is a large business buying up in bulk to make city blocks full of nothing but, boxes.

Most of this is sensationalist “journalism”.
Very odd how this commercial for his houses included him dropping bits of info like “the conspiracy theories have turned out to be true!” LOL.
Was going to say the same thing
... is this an ad? Are you a shill? This video is from voyager, which makes a bunch of fake content.
No, I thought it was interesting. No, I haven't ordered one, ;-)
Interesting. However the price tag is $60,000 not 10,000 according to their website. Is supposed to drop lower?
Hurricane proof? Needs a foundation and expensive shtters. Waste disposal? Water access. $60, 000 for the box can be built on site for that amount.
Then, I'll wait. Thanks (This should better than the EVs.)
Sounds cool until you realize you need water and plumbing.

A big problem with housing is the 60 million illegals living in the country.
