Can anyone recommend an app that would help you know if there are any crickets in your food?
I recommend the Yuka app for showing what ingredients are not toxic. It’s works for food and some cosmetics. Free to scan unlimited bar codes.
I’m not aware of an app. The crickets are listed as “Acheta domesticus”. Reading labels and maybe researching to find a list of foods might be the only option.
I've been looking for anything with xxx-protein listed , they have a few names they use to hide it, but it's commonly some weird name dash protein.
I read somewhere that it's mostly used in high protein foods.
I use barilla pasta, because Italy banned the use of crickets.
I am so sick of being poisoned
some companies come right out and say it "ant powder" cricket powder etc. Nobody needs a protein boost that badly, How do they get around the inspections for food that will not tolerate a certain amount of insect particles? I know there are probably bits of insects in organically grown grain, there are bugs in the field when you harvest and mill it, probably some get througn, which is why its inspected.
They get away with it because the government and food companies don’t care what’s in the food. Just like pharma the food industry is in the government. Watch some carnivore expert videos on the processed food in America. I’m not trying to recruit anyone to carnivore. It’s mind blowing how much they have lied about the food. Honestly I guess a few bugs isn’t as dangerous as the toxic man made ingredients in our food. Top selling condiments, snacks & sodas that are sold outside the country have just basic ingredients compared to the toxins in USA food. Especially food dyes, for example the name brand marshmallow has blue dye, it’s white, why put blue dye in it?! Sorry if you already know about this, most people here are aware. I like to mention it because there’s always someone not aware.
Speaking of insects in grain. There’s several viral videos showing a corn or grain field being harvested. It’s a throw off to vegans. They claim they don’t eat meat because they can’t harm an animal. Small animals like birds, mice, rabbits etc are killed when these crops are harvested.
Sure if you need to eat bugs for survival situations I could do that. It’s just not normal!
