Russia also has an excellent class of submarines optimized for cruise missile delivery. You would be surprised (hair-raising) at how much of our population and industry and military installations are within a hundred miles of either coastline.
I would think that as the UK's storm shadow missiles would be used then Britain would be a prime target.
One senior Russian (I forget which) said that the UK could be hit so hard that it would be consumed by the sea, this ties in with the prophecy that an island country would disappear under the waves.
