Scanning for something
That moment you realize it's just a plane towing a MAGA 2024 banner behind it over poling places...
I wish!! (But it was dark)
It’s not uncommon for aircraft to be registered to Delaware corporations because of the tax advantages. Also, this flight pattern is typical of an aerial photography or aerial surveying operation.
This.
Looks like bing maps "birds eye" feature which is taken by a low flying airplane. Or other government mapping and land plotting shit (i dont even know what cartography is done but know they use a lot of shots like this for land plots and documentation)
Hey, yesterday I was zipping down the highway and Google maps informed me. Speed trap ahead. So I slowed down to see. Shur enough their was a speed trap. ??? When did Google start doing this??? I was surprised
For a long time. Google maps is shittier as they simply place a police object near.
WAZE is a GREAT map app for people who want to report cops, issues on the road (bumps, construction, stopped cars on roadway, loose mattresses etc). I think google pulls some of the live data from waze for the police info, but if you are road tripping 100% use WAZE. it warns you about everything you need to know about whats coming up.
Prep for DEW(?)
Piper Chieftain. Most likely either a check flight post maintenance, or a pilot recertification/training
Naw, the flight path is CLEARLY doing a precise scan over an area. Who knows what electronics they are hanging, but someone just doing a checkride wouldn't worry about making a precise grid. Just some pattern flying touch n gos, etc. They wouldn't give a crap about following a precise back and forth.
100% scanning for something. Could be aerial photos (like bing maps, google satellite view, etc) maybe geological ground penetrating radar or whatever the miners oil drillers use, something like that.
All good points. However, what I said was also plausible. I have been on check flights that flew similar patterns to calibrate instruments after either repairs or planned maintenance intervals. Any of those you mention could be correct as well.
This twin engine prop is flying back and forth over Northern St Johns County/South Jacksonville for 30 mins. No chemtrails observed. WTF is this?
Someone shopping for real estate?
Owned by “ DELAWARE TRUST CO TRUSTEE” 🤔 very odd flight pattern and previous flight logs
that is a very tight pattern
The only time I saw this before was on a search and rescue mission.
I don't know where this is but I've seen this done over land tracks about to be developed so they have good high quality pictures.
Update: chatter on local social media is it’s mosquito spraying post Helene and Milton
Saw that yesterday. Click the history on the left and scroll through the past few days, may be survey related?
I live near all that. They're building tons of new gargantuan neighborhoods/communities. LIDAR perhaps?

Where’s Monkeywerx when you need him.
