My husband and I are thrilled the Donald Trump has been elected President of the United States. Thrilled.
I've waited to post this because I wanted to be even minded about it. I won't be silent any more.
I am so saddened that many acquaintances who live in our new neighborhood and others who belong to a creative entrepreneur group are posting that we, who are happy, should not "gloat" - and posting veiled threats - "We know what we have to do." Some don't even live in this country - and others have lived overseas for years.
What would you be posting if the election went the other way? How would you react to the venom? You wouldn't because there wouldn't be any venom.
I use the word "acquaintances" because none of you are really friends. Those who are local dropped me like a hot potato once you knew my political views. I hoped you would become friends, but I guess not. Your loss.
Frankly, I think Obama was one of the worst presidents we've ever had. His apology tour was an embarrassment to this great nation, starting with the return of the bust of Winston Churchill. He increased our national debt to unbelievable levels. His Department of Justice is racist. (Attorney General Loretta Lynch recently referred to "gypsy cops" - a racial slur against the Romani people). He destroyed our healthcare system.
No, I'm not a racist. If you knew my personal background, you'd never even think that thought. But I'm sick of being called a racist, a homophobe, a xenophobe. I am none of these things.
I am an educated American woman who is married to a hardworking man who proudly served in the US Marine Corps. We support the man who will make us proud of America once again.
I am ashamed that I asked my husband not to wear his Trump shirt and hat to certain places because I didn't want the harassment. And I was worried about his safety because he's a Marine and he doesn't back down. For a long while I didn't want lawn signs in front of our house because I was afraid we'd have a brick thrown through the window. Isn't that sad? I would never dream of insulting or damaging property of Clinton supporters.
I am sick of whiners and complainers. If you don't like the system, get educated and work to change it from within. That's what I did.
I am sick of crooked career politicians who feel entitled and above the law. I would love to see term limits, but not a single one of them would vote for it. And when they are voted out, they get patronage jobs. I worked in government and politics for years. This is how it works.
It is time to take America back for Americans.
I'm sorry you can only accept those who share your viewpoint. I'm sorry you don't believe there's room for all American viewpoints.
Here's mine: Donald Trump is MY President.
Don't bother to unfriend me. I'll take care of it myself.
Thanks OP!
"Don't bother to unfriend me. I'll take care of it myself." LOL.
This is such a wonderful post. I am sorry that you husband did not live to see this glorious day but I am sure he is smiling along with his Marine brothers who have gone on before him fighting for our Country. GOD Bless you. I think your acquaintances are the ones missing out. I have wet cheeks reading your post.
My teenage son died of cancer this year and he would have been old enough to vote in this election. He had a huge Trump sign up in his room and would have been thrilled with the results of this election and the moves that Trump has signaled so far. I take comfort in the thought that he has it WAY better now regardless of who is in office.
So sorry for your loss, that is so sad. What is even more sad and anger provoking is there are cures out there that have been suppressed. God has his own plan for us and our families and I hope in time it will be revealed to us.
May God bless your son! 🙏
I’m so sorry to read this. God bless you and keep your heart. You will see him again with our Heavenly Father.
I am so sorry for your loss. A child's passing is hard to bear. I hope that with time you will find solace in sweet memories.
Very sorry for that friend.
WELL DONE! Your last statement is gold! And I am sorry that your husband is gone. I am sure he would have loved to see this Win! May he rest in peace,
Donald Trump is the best human, not only for Americans, but for the whole globe (actually flat earth).
To bad people don’t see what a blessing DJT and his family are. I pray in time they will.
BRAVO! BRAVO! BRAVO! Well said my friend. I'm with you.
Good on you. I can relate very heavily.
Your husband is and will always be with you. Thanknyou patriot for this
You stated that beautifully. And I believe that people this time around were NOT afraid to show their support for President Trump. Even some of my neighbors who voted for Biden had Trump signs this time around.
And I'm sorry for the loss of your husband, may he rest in peace in the arms of our Lord.
So sorry you lost your husband! Funny last time Obama ran I was not concerned about retaliation but this time I was, because last time they stole my signs. Very last one. I replaced them multiple times. The Obama supporter was kind enough to toss them back over the fence after he won 2nd term.
Sorry for your loss Christine.
I’m sure your loving husband watches over you and protects you every day.
Well said. Stand proud and NEVER BACK DOWN. Thank you to your husband for his service and for you as a military spouse because you too sacrified.
There is so much that could be said. But my opinion isn't worth much so I'll just say. John 8:31-32 if ye continue in my word then ye shall be my disciples indeed. And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free, for if the son shall make you free ye shall be free indeed.
Real freedom is in those verses.
I’m sorry for your loss. In a way you see people’s true colors. And that’s not a bad thing.
You shouldn't be. You were right. Because the people on the other side are F crazy psychotic criminal minded bad people. This is proof there are many dangerous people on their side

What a beautiful and meaningful post. I'm sure your husband is looking down from Heaven at his smart, courageous wife. May the momentum of Trump's win forever change the landscape for strength, peace, prosperity, health, safety, love and happiness.
Anyone would be lucky to have you for a friend. 🌷
Love your post, ChristineAnne! Nailed it!!! I am terribly sorry that you lost your husband.
