It’s been nearly 30 years since nursing school and Psych 101 taught us reorientation to reality was critical. I mean we wouldn’t give a anorexic weight-loss drugs, or do they do that now as well?

The science didn't change. What changed was tyrants slowly forced their way in to reputable scientific institutions, using them as an assumed cover of authority to become purveyors of truth, making the world believe everything they alone say.
But it caused too much friction in light of the truth. So in light of Trump's win, they were forced to let go of their hold, and those evil forces are now rapidly retreating to their bridges and caves and holes in the spiritual ground where we're clearly winning.
I'd like to hope that tyrants will run away and never try it again, but until evil is gone forever, we have to assume they will come back, likely slower next time. So even still we all must never stop double checking to ensure we're on the path of the truth. Because that is what sets us free.
Because it's full of woke 💩. I signed back up to uni this semester for forth year psych. I'm already done after a week and will unlikely continue. I'm being told I can't use words like *elder because it's problematic (yet it's culturally correct for Aboriginals), yet also having whites teach me what is culturally appropriate 🤨🤔 We've had "counselling examples", which students have responded with "wouldn't help him", "tell him to get over it" while also getting prepared for assessment 1. Assessment 1 is fake counselling session and I've already been told to make sure it's between 1-4 "trauma" level because students won't handle it The system is farked If you can't even handle my introduction which mentioned a cancer diagnosis that has me questioning psychology education because of my new personality from losing my stomach how the fark you gonna handle the real world and people's real traumas?
It’s so sad. People need serious mental help. More than half of the nurses at my clinic are on psych meds, and even more disturbing is the rate they are medicating their KIDS! I don’t know how this one ends.
Shit! Unfortunately I'm not surprised by that. I know here in Oz many of the drug festivals are full of nurses. They only get caught when someone dies and an investigation is needed. Then claim "I'm a responsible drug user", unlike their friend who isn't a nurse and just died 😔
I don’t doubt some go to nursing school for access.
It wasn't science, it was politics. Power is the motivation.
Sigmund Freud, B. F. Skinner and Carl Jung walk into a bar.
Upon seeing them one of the patrons yells
Freud yells back "Only if the cigar didn't work."
Skinner mutters to himself "You can not develop a conditioned response by killing the patient."
Jung says to the bar keeper "Make me one with everything."
Nice
A bunch of Ivory Tower Academics and Intellectuals with no real world experience at all, let alone experience medically treating real people, got ideas about how reality “Should Work”.
Communism. I always wondered why communism was deemed as so evil. It’s because they turn your mind and culture into a weapon.
Heck, in today's medical field it would NOT suprise me that a doctor has prescribed Ozimpec to an anorexic lady. Probably say that it would increase her hunger pangs and thus lead to more eating.
I do not doubt it is happening.
My wife is a leader in Behavior Health. She has told me that Quacks have been promoted to lower paying decision making levels (ie you can make much more in a private practice than in large hospitals & research, unless you are towing the line for pre determined research grants).
Hospitals are then bound by whatever the federal government demands, or they lose funding/payments from the largest payor that keeps doors open of non profit hospitals. That payor is Medicare & Medicaid (ie Federal Government).
We are now set to remove the Feds power from so many industries & that should allow reason & common sense back at local levels.
This is what I need to hear. We are nearing a breaking point in nursing. The good ones are few and far between.
I hear you. Hiring great nurses has been a pain for years. So much burnout & many great nurses for my wife's program get head hunted quickly for 1.5-2 times the pay with private behavioral health companies.
I don't blame those nurses, how could you turn down a 50% increase in this economy, even if your schedule changes every week & have decreased benefits when you live paycheck to paycheck?
That said, I still think there will be struggle while we remove the deep state (many traitors & deserve a traitor's consequence), so they quite literally have nothing to lose when looking a a very real possibility of a military tribunal soon.
Though once we get through that phase of removing individuals who despise constitutional principles, a golden age happens. I need to find info again, but Brittan had a golden age in the 1200s IIRC. Men were working 1-2 days per week & has so much excess that they had much more time to improve their homes & families. This happened after the bankers/lenders were removed from the country, though I may be remembering some of that incorrectly.
Just hang in there, keep helping others, your neighbors & community as best you can. Be prepared for any forced downturns (economically, power grid, food supply, clean water, etc...) for a month or more (I have built up about 6 months of storage for our family in the worst case scenario, and hope it ends up just being given out to struggling neighbors in the next few years instead of needing it ourselves) as we come through this many will notice the leaders who were willing to help & lift others even in little ways. Trust in God to see you through & it will happen.
I’m not technically in behavioral health, but every floor nurse really is. It’s been so hard to watch, especially the last 4 years. I’m ready. We can make it through a few months of “off the grid” if we have to. If it does bring about a great change, longer would be ok with me.
There is inconsistencies between different diagnosis in the DSM. Schizophrenia, for example the patient’s view of reality must be challenged however for the very profitable, gender dysphoria as long as the patient is OK with it then there isn’t a problem. However the patient isn’t OK with it, hence the high suicide rate and even higher suicide rate after transition.
This!!
The particular section in the DSM-5 that deals with such diagnoses was hijacked by a school of Psychology that won the internal turf war to be able to write and edit this section. It was talked about on Reddit a lot and much disappointment was registered when the DSM was published all those years ago.
Reddit was quite good in those days, before Conde Nast took them over.
